The charism of the Congregation is to reach the Divine Spark and bring it to the society by attending to the needs of its individuals in a language that can be understood in time and context.Right from the days of its founder Blessed Kuriakose Elias Chavara(1805 - 1871) the Congregation has taken up innovative steps in the fields of education, printing and publications, health care, social upliftment etc. and has extended yeoman service to the people. Education is a gradual process of development of potentialities inherent in a child, as the child grows from infancy to maturity. Therefore care has to be taken to impart sound moral training to the pupils to cultivate in them the social virtues, such as, politeness, courtesy, considerateness, etc. It aims to develop punctuality, regularity, cleanliness and neatness and to establish in them citizenship qualities with a sense of responsibility, devotion to duty, love of labour and love for ones country and inculcate spiritual and moral values of them.
