GEOMETRY WORKSHOP✂️📏
The Department of Design at KLS GIT organized a 2 Day Geometry Workshop for 1st Semester students with the objective of enhancing their understanding of fundamental geometrical forms through experiential learning. The workshop enabled students to explore the application of geometry in design by transforming basic forms into creative animal mask concepts.
The session was conducted by Smit Thakkar, who guided the students through the process of form exploration and creative development. The workshop aimed to encourage visual thinking, creativity, and practical application of geometry within the design discipline.

Learning Beyond the Studio.
Students of the B.Des Programme, Department of Design, GIT College engaged in outdoor live sketching as an extension of their drawing curriculum. Working directly from the campus environment, the session emphasized observational drawing, human proportions, spatial relationships, and contextual awareness, encouraging students to translate real-life settings into expressive sketches. By engaging with nature and built spaces, the exercise strengthened visual thinking, perception, and responsiveness, expanding design understanding beyond the classroom.

Learning by Seeing, Drawing by Doing. ✏️👀
Students of the B.Des Foundation Year, Department of Design, at GIT College engaged in a dynamic "live sketching session" as part of their core drawing curriculum. Observing the human form in real time, students explored anatomy, posture, proportion, and gesture, translating movement and expression onto paper. The exercise sharpened visual perception, hand–eye coordination, and foundational drawing skills, nurturing the ability to observe, interpret, and communicate through form—an essential skill set at the heart of design education.
