: MODEL PRESENTATION (TECHNICAL)
A life without ideas is an unfulfilled existence. Not only having ideas is important, but to express them, share them and implement them is what makes a difference in this world.
This Model paper presentation event aims at providing a platform to the students to present their ideas, knowledge and research. This event is different from the conventional paper presentation as it requires the students to present their papers with a model thus aiming at exploring their creativity and ideas in a better way. Mould your imagination, shape your thoughts, represent your ideas in the form of a model and give a nerve-wracking presentation.
TEAM DETAILS:
1. A team can have a maximum of two members.
2. In case if multiple papers are selected from the same author, he/she is allowed to present only one of them (as per their choice).
3. Participants of paper presentation with model should be registered for OCULUS’14 compulsorily.
RULES:
1. The paper needs to be strictly abided by the IEEE format
2. Maximum number of pages should not exceed 10 pages( only 1side).
3. Soft copy should be mailed to [email protected] with IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF THE MAIL BY 17/10/2014.
4. LIST OF SELECTED PAPERS SHALL BE DISPLAYED ON THE WEBSITE AND NOTICE BOARD BY 22/10/2014.
5. Models are compulsory. They may be working or non-working.
6. The body of the mail needs to include the details mentioned below.

7. Abstract should be composed of maximum 200 words.
8. Participants are required to mention valid references.
9. One hard copy of the paper should be submitted at the help desk.

WRITING STYLE:
1. Use simple sentences, unless you are comfortable writing complex and compound sentences.
2. Avoid repetition
3. Make use of spelling and grammar checker.
4. Maximum time limit for presentation is 10 + 2 (10 minutes for presentation including explanation of model and 2 minutes for Q&A.
5. Selected teams need to submit two hard copies of their papers at the time of presentation.
6. Rules of Presentation round will be displayed along with the list of Selected Papers.
NOTE:
1. Directly copying from the Internet is strongly discouraged.
2. Negative marking if the presentation exceeds time limit.
3. The co-ordinators reserve all rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit. Change in rules, if any will be highlighted on the website or notice board and the same will be intimidated to the participants by SMS.
4. The decision of the judges will be final and binding to all.
5. All teams and their respective members should reach the event venue on time.
6. Tardiness may be considered as grounds for disqualification.
7. All teams must maintain decorum at all times. Organizers may disqualify any team that behaves inappropriately.
