KLE Technological University – Dr. M. S. Sheshgiri Campus, Belagavi
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, in collaboration with the Centre for Intelligent Mobility (CIM) Lab, KLE Technological University, Hubballi, inaugurated a One-Week (4th to 9th August 2025)AICTE-ATAL Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Application of Artificial Intelligence in Intelligent Transport System on 4th August 2025.It focuses on the applications of Artificial Intelligence in Intelligent Transport Systems. The program aims to enhance faculty knowledge in AI-driven traffic management, autonomous mobility, and predictive analytics.It helps the participants to gain hands-on insights, exposure to real-world use cases, and tools to innovate in future transportation systems.
Chief Guest Mr. Suresh Kamate, Strategic Sales Manager – Automotive, NI (now part of Emerson), spoke on the growing role of AI in revolutionizing intelligent transport and the opportunities for Indian innovators. Guest of Honour Dr. Nalini Iyer, Dean, School of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, KLE Tech Hubballi, highlighted research prospects and academia–industry collaboration.She also emphasized on the STAR labs present in KLE Technological University,Hubballi campus
Principal Dr. S. F. Patil stressed the importance of faculty upskilling to lead advancements in mobility solutions.
HoD Dr. Dattaprasad Torse welcomed the gathering. Coordinator Dr. Arun S. Tigadi outlined the FDP objectives and sessions. Dr. Rudrappa B. Gujanatti delivered the vote of thanks.
The FDP continues with expert talks, technical sessions, and hands-on workshops for faculty nationwide.
