🎓 The Department of MCA celebrated its Graduation Day Ceremony for the Passing-Out Batch of 2025 and Toppers’ Felicitation with great enthusiasm on 27th November 2025. ✨
The event commenced with a soulful devotional song by Naik and team 🎶, followed by the hosts Mr. Hrishikesh Mogare and Mrs. Shivani Patankar, who gracefully anchored the proceedings. 🎤

A warm Welcome Address was delivered by Dr.Jayashri Madalgi, HoD MCA 🙏, followed by the traditional Lighting of the Lamp 🪔.

Mrs. Swarooprani Manoor then introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Anand Gangoor, alumnus of the 1999–2002 batch and Senior Manager, Cognitive Architect at TTEC, Bengaluru 🌟.

In his inspiring address, Mr. Anand Gangoor encouraged graduates to plan their career journeys thoughtfully 💡 and shared the challenges faced by his 2002 batch, emphasizing perseverance, resilience, and teamwork 💪🤝. He highlighted three essential pillars for success—Technical Excellence, Leadership, and Business Acumen 🚀—while urging students to remain ethical in their professional roles.

He was felicitated by Dr.Jayashri Madalgi 🌺, after which the Provisional Degree Certificates were distributed to all graduates 🎓📜.

Dean Infra, Dr. VIKAS GINGINE, honoured the academic toppers 🏅, and prizes for outstanding performance were awarded 🎖️.

In his Presidential Remarks, Dr. VIKAS GINGINE congratulated the students and wished them success in their future endeavours 🌠.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mr. Abhishek Nazare 🙌, marking a truly memorable and inspiring Graduation Day. 🎉✨

🎉 Fresher’s Welcome & Induction Program – MCA 2025 Batch 🎉

KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Department of MCA, successfully conducted a 4-day Fresher’s Welcome & Induction Program from 3rd to 6th November 2025 at the S.J. Auditorium and various off-campus locations.

The program began with an inaugural ceremony featuring an inspiring address by Ms. Priyanka Patil, Senior SAP ABAP Consultant at Westernacher Consulting and proud alumna of the 2013–2016 batch. Students also gained valuable insights from sessions on Examination & Evaluation, Academics & OBE, Projects & Internships, Training & Placement, and Wellness.

The induction also included a vibrant Talent Show and off-campus activities such as a fitness and wellness session at Om’s Fitness and a reflective visit to Ramakrishna Mission Ashram.

A special session by Prof. Satish Hukkeri, TPO, guided students through placement processes, industry expectations, and skill-building pathways.

The event marked a meaningful beginning for the MCA 2025 batch, setting a strong foundation for their academic and professional journey.

🎓 3-Days Short Term Training Programme (STTP) on "Exploring Generative AI: Tools, Techniques, and Transformations." 🤖✨

The Department of MCA recently organized a transformative 3-Day Short Term Training Programme (STTP) for MCA 2nd semester students and faculty from CSE, ISE, and AI/ML branches, aimed at upskilling knowledge and providing an engaging introduction to Generative AI, a cutting-edge area of Artificial Intelligence 🌟.

This field focuses on creating new content—such as text, images, audio, and code—using machine learning models and powerful tools like ChatGPT, DALL·E, and GitHub Copilot.

🌐 Overview of Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM)
🛠️ LLM Use Cases and Tasks

🎉 The Department of MCA proudly conducted an impactful outreach program titled “Outreach for Digital Literacy: Computer Awareness Drive” on 30th June 2025 at Adarsh Marathi Vidya Mandir, Nath Pai Circle, Belagavi.

This initiative aimed to empower young minds from 6th and 7th standard with essential computer knowledge and digital awareness.

🗣️ An expert talk on “Professional Communication and Etiquettes” was conducted on 26th June 2025 at Sir M. V. Hall, KLS GIT for the second-semester MCA AT GIT students.

🚀 Workshop on Real-Time Data Pipeline 🔍💻

The Department of MCA at KLS Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi, organised an enriching two-day hands-on workshop titled "Building a Real-time Data Pipeline: From REST API to Analytics using Python, Kafka, Spark & ClickHouse" on 13th and 14th June 2025. The session was conducted in offline mode at the Big Data Laboratory, DS-12.

The resource person, Mr. Mallanagouda Patil, who serves as a Data Architect and Senior Staff Engineer at Netskope Software India Private Limited, Bengaluru, engaged participants with real-world applications and deep technical insights.

Key topics covered included:
🔹 Ingestion Layer using Python Flask
🔹 Real-time Data Streaming with Kafka
🔹 ETL processes using Apache Spark
🔹 Efficient data storage using ClickHouse
🔹 Practical project ideas relevant to current industry needs

6-Days Short Term Training Programme (STTP) on “Spring Boot Framework- Hands-on with Micro services Based Spring Boot Applications”


The Department of MCA recently organized a transformative 6-Days Short Term Training Programme (STTP) for MCA 3
rd and 1st semester students aimed at upskilling their knowledge and providing hands-on experience in cutting-edge topics in Java domain, Spring and Spring Boot Framework.


Key Topics Covered:

· Spring Basics
· The Spring Framework
· Spring Boot Fundamentals Introduction
· Dependency Injection
· Spring MVC Introduction
· Data Access with Spring Boot
· Security Aspects
· Building REST APIs
· Building a CRUD Application

STTP Objectives:
· To provide students with a solid grasp of the Fundamentals of Spring Framework, configure and develop Spring Boot Applications
· To Facilitate skill development through hands-on for developing web applications and accessing data with Spring Boot
· Hands-On session on building and consuming REST API and deploying on cloud platforms.
