The Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi, organized a workshop on “Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)” with Hands-on training on 16th October 2024, at KLE Advanced Simulation Centre.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Abhijit S Gogate, Director of KLE Advanced Simulation Centre & Clinical Skill Lab and Professor in the Department of General Surgery at J.N. Medical College, Belagavi. He was accompanied by Prof. (Dr.) Veereshkumar Nandagaon, Principal of KAHER, INS, Belagavi, Prof. (Dr.) Preeti Bhupali, Vice Principal, and Dr. Honnagouda Patil, Head of the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing at KAHER, INS, Belagavi. Total 48 faculties and postgraduate students benefitted from the workshop.

Department of Mental Health Nursing Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi organized a Guest Lecture on " Forensic Psychiatry" on 30.03.2024. The expert lecture was delivered by Dr.Divagar K , Senior Resident Dept of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology J N Medical College KAHER Belagavi. 3rd year B.Sc Nursing & PG students of the department were benifitted. All the faculty of the department were present during the ocassion.

KAHER, Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi and AJINORHA Global Ventures, Kerala have signed a MoU with regards to start the OET (Occupational English Test) training center for nursing students in the Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi on 11th January 2024. Dr. Nitin Gangane, Vice Chancellor KAHER, Dr. M. S Ganachari, Registrar, KAHER Prof. (Dr.) Veereshkumar Nandagaon, Principal, KAHER, INS, Belagavi, and Mr. Aravind Menon, CEO, AJINORHA, Kerala, were present during the occasion. AJINORAH will be providing 2 months Onsite OET (Occupational English Test) training for the nursing students and also will assist the students for registering them for the examination. In case of successful completion of training, AJINORAH will help for documentation and recruitment process for overseas placements.

KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi, Department of OBG Nursing along with NSS unit conducted menopause awareness program followed by pamphlet distribution on menopause awareness on 21st December 2023 at Vantamuri PHC. Total 37 menopausal women were the beneficiaries of the program

The KLE (KAHER) Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi organized Alumni meet 2023 on 12th and 13th October 2023 at KLE Convention centre. The meeting aimed to provide a platform for alumni to reconnect with each other, network, and engage in fun-filled activities while challenging themselves and cheering their peers. 118 Alumni’s of the Institution from different parts of the country and also from abroad were participated in the event and shared their experiences. Various activities conducted during the event, such as Sport and cultural competitions and also a panel discussion was formulated on application of artificial intelligence in health care. Felicitation of alumni achievers were recognized and felicitated during the event.
Prof.(Dr) Veereshkumar Nandgaon, Principal, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi welcomed the gathering and introduced the dignitaries and he also explained the facilities available to the students.
The chief guest of the program, Dr. Nitin M. Gangane, Hon. Vice-Chancellor, KAHER presided and addressed the audience. Speaking on the occasion, he said the alumni meet is a very emotional event that sparks nostalgia in everyone and he also shared memories of his college period.
Dr. Sangeeta Kharade, Vice Principal, Prof.(Dr) Preeti Bhupali, Dean, Prof.(Dr) Gavi Salimath, Vice President, Dr. Ashok Kamat, Tresurer, Dr. Honnagouda Patil, Secretary and Prof. Mahaling Hulagbali, Joint Secretary of Alumni Association, Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi was present during the event.
Dr. Honnagouda Patil, Secretary of Alumni Association, proposed the vote of thanks. The program concluded with the singing of the national anthem.

KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi conducted Hands on training in the KLE Advanced Simulation centre and Clinical Skills Lab for the Final year students of B.Sc Nursing from 3rd July to 7th July 2023.
The training focused on basic & advanced nursing procedures like Naso gastric tubing, lumbar Puncture CPR, Endotracheal Intubation, Infant CPR,Choking and Birthing simulator ,IUCD insert .The Sessions were Facilitated by Dr Manjunath Sogalad, Mrs.Nirmala Fernandes, Mr.Harish Deyannavar ,Mr.Umesh Nandgaon and Mr.Virupaxappa Savadi faculty of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi.
100 students benefitted from training.

KLE Academy of Higher Education & Research organized International Yoga Day on 21st June 2023 at KLE Convention Centre Belagavi. Principal, faculty and students of KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences Belagavi participated in yoga session.

KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi Organized Annual Day “NYASSA-2023-Healing Through Touch” on at KLE Auditorium, Belagavi. Prof (Dr). Veereshkumar Nandgaon, Principal, KAHER Institute of Nursing Sciences, Belagavi welcomed the gathering and dignitaries and presented the college annual report 2022-2023. Chief Guest of the function Dr. Subarna Roy, Scientist G & Director, ICMR-NITM, Belagavi congratulated the students for their achievements and said compassion is the corner stone of nursing profession. He also stressed that increasing addiction to social media, drugs and mental health issues are the major concern for today’s world. Dr. Nitin Gangange, Vice-Chancellor, KAHER, Belagavi in his presidential remarks said nursing care during Covid-19 was exceptional. He also mentioned that nursing profession is the only profession has always competency based education. Meritorious students of GNM, BSc, PBBSc, MSc Nursing and Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care and those who participated in Extracurricular Activities were awarded for their various achievements.
