Ambedkar Jayanti Celebration at BELGAUM INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES

Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at Belgaum Institute of Management Studies to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution and a champion of social justice, equality, and human rights.

The programme began with the garlanding of Dr. Ambedkar’s portrait by the Principal, faculty members, and students.

Prof. S. B. Hunashal highlighted Dr. Ambedkar's contributions and values of Liberty and Equality,
BCA students Miss Zahiya Kittur and Shama actively participated by sharing thoughts, delivering speeches.

A. M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College, Hospital & PG Research Centre celebrated the 271st World Homoeopathy Day with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. 🩺✨

The program was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Prashanth Donkar, along with Principal Dr. Kiran N. Patil, Vice Principal Dr. Najib Patel, Chief Coordinator Mr. M. J. Attar, faculty members, and students. The welcome address by the Principal highlighted the growing importance of homoeopathy in modern healthcare, followed by an insightful talk by the Chief Guest on its advancements and relevance.

The celebration included prize distribution for Homoeopathy Week activities, recognizing student achievements. An engaging ECG workshop conducted by Dr. Prashanth Donkar provided hands-on learning for final-year students, interns, and postgraduate scholars.

Students also showcased their creativity through model-making and poster exhibitions, reflecting their understanding of homoeopathic concepts.

The event successfully blended academic learning with creative expression, promoting awareness and knowledge of homoeopathy, and stood as a grand success.

On the occasion of World Homeopathic Week 2026, the Department of Practice of Medicine at A.M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College successfully organized a Health Awareness and Screening Camp at our adopted village, Devgiri.

The camp focused on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), where a large number of participants were screened through blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, and body mass evaluation. Our dedicated PG scholars conducted the screenings, while faculty members provided personalized counselling to promote healthy lifestyle modifications.

A step towards building a healthier community through awareness, prevention, and holistic care. 🌿

A.M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College, Nehru Nagar, Belagavi, proudly organized a Homoeopathic Awareness Rally on the occasion of World Homoeopathic Week & World Health Day 🌿

The rally commenced from the college premises and proceeded to Channamma Circle via Kholapur Circle, spreading awareness about the benefits of homoeopathy among the public.

Students and staff members, actively participated with great enthusiasm.

This impactful event was organized by the Department of Community Medicine with strong support from the management.

A Health Check-Up Camp on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) was successfully conducted by the Paediatric Department of A. M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College, Belagavi, at Kadoli Gram Panchayat.

Screenings for hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular risk factors were carried out. Dr. Nahida M. Mulla, Dr. Kedar Samaji, Dr. Swati, along with interns and students, actively participated in examinations and patient guidance.

Health education on balanced diet, regular exercise, and avoiding to***co and alcohol was provided. Free homoeopathic medicines were distributed, and patients needing further care were referred.
