The Inter Collegiate Business Idea Competition was organized by the Institution's Innovation Council Lingaraj College (IIC Lingaraj College) on 8th & 9th November 2024.

This competition offered an opportunity for PUC and Degree students of Campus colleges to showcase their creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial skills. This event aimed to foster a spirit of innovation and encourage students to present unique business ideas that have the potential to make a significant impact. 38 participants from different courses from the campus. Top three Business Ideas awarded 🥇1st prize- Kiran Kulkarni and Shreyasht Pattar, 🥈2nd prize- Sabir Makandar and Shahid Kittur, 🥉3rd prize- Mahesh Gunda and Aliza Khoja.

Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) Lingaraj College, Belagavi Organised a session on "Digital health Revolution: Leveraging Intellectual Property Rights for Equitable access and Innovation" on 27 November 2024 at 11:00 am in Central hall. Resource person Dr. Neha Dhaded, Professor Conservative Dentistry, Member KAHER IPR Cell Belagavi interacted with students and faculty members of IIC Lingaraj College. Resource person explained how Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) safeguard creations of the mind, promoting innovation and economic growth. Also mentioned about how they grant legal protection to intangible assets like inventions, artistic works, trademarks, and designs. Explained Key types include patents, copyrights, trademarks, industrial designs, geographical indications, and trade secrets, ensuring creators’ exclusive rights while fostering creativity and fair competition.

Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) Lingaraj College, Belagavi organized a Workshop on "Entrepreneurship and Innovation” as Career Opportunity on 20th November, 2024 from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm in Seminar Hall, KLE CBALC, Belagavi.

Resource Persons for the workshop were Mr. Varun Naik, Partner at EyeBox the optical studio and The Couch Story and Mr. Karan Javali, Founder & CEO Motocross.
Participants gained insights into how to identify market opportunities, foster creative problem-solving, build sustainable business models, and pitch ideas effectively, while developing a mindset that embraces risk, teamwork, and continuous learning. The workshop emphasized practical strategies, real-world insights, and ethical innovation.
