Every year on March 23, Indians observe Shaheed Diwas which is also known as Martyrs’ Day. This day is dedicated to remembering those who sacrificed their lives to make India free from the British government’s rule. The day is also famous for being a dark chapter in the history of India.
On this day, the British government hanged freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajgurua, and Sukhdev in 1931 in Lahore jail. Their sacrifice fills the heart of Indians with pride.
