Xylem by Eptitude At Xylem we intend to impart skills that makes a candidate employable.

One of the core skills is communication skills.We provide students a platform to practice public speaking. Xylem – Business Proficiency Enhancer module is an offering from the team of Eptitude that aims at making the undergraduate students employable and better trained to face the practical challenges of the business world. One of the key challenges most students face in their first jobs right aft

er graduation, is acquiring the requisite job skills. During the transition from a student to a working professional, even students from premier institutes need time to gain sector/industry understanding and adjust to the corporate work environment. Our module, the Business Proficiency Enhancer, is designed to address these gaps and equip students with all the requisite skills needed to effectively assume the role of a business analyst with ease. The module encompasses the following:

– Understanding of business functions

– Industry/Sector overview – Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Banking, IT/Service, E-commerce etc.

– Case-based approach to business situations

– Analytical tools and modeling

– Business Communications and Negotiations



The module is structured to enhance practical understanding as each session is supplemented with an exercise that simulates real-world business scenarios. In order to further boost efficacy, the module has been calibrated with timely assessments and individual feedback; and provides ample scope and assistance for continuous improvement.

It is a feeling that makes a person feel self - conscious and unable to be relaxed and be in a natural way .

What commonly is called stage fear or fear of speaking in front of strange people or many other situations , where people feel uncomfortable to be themselves.

A person can overcome Inhibition ..but it grows with age if we don't overcome it .so take that first step to overcome your fear of being yourself in any situation.

Work on yourself and build yourself everyday.

You can be asked what is your perception about the company position in its industry , who the firm's competitors are, what its competitive advantages are, and what should be the future course of action. So a person should avoid researching about a list of industries , rather research about your specific industry in order to prepare well for the interview.

Know your audience.
Avoid using too much of industry jargon or material that is too technical for your colleagues to easily understand.

Audience analysis involves identifying the audience and adapting a speech to their interests, level of understanding, attitudes, and beliefs. Taking an audience-centered approach is important because a speaker's effectiveness will be improved if the presentation is created and delivered in an appropriate manner.

If you memorize your talk, you are almost sure to forget it; and the audience will probably be glad, for nobody wants to listen to a mugged up speech. Even if you dont learn , it will sound memorized. It will affect your eyes and your voice too.

WHAT SHOULD BE DONE -

If you are afraid you will forget what you want to say, then make some brief notes and hold them in your hand and glance at them occasionally.
