Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda celebrated the 80th Independence Day with immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at the university's Athletic Ground! 🇮🇳

Embracing this year’s inspiring theme, "Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat@2047" alongside commemorating "150 Years of Vande Mataram," the celebrations highlighted the pivotal role of our youth and community in shaping a developed India.

Honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, hoisted the National Flag, paying a proud tribute to the nation and our legendary freedom fighters. The grand ceremony was further highlighted by an impressive and disciplined parade presented jointly by the NCC cadets and the university's security personnel, reflecting a strong sense of pride, safety, and unity on campus. ✨

Welcomed Shri Rajinder Mittal, Managing Director, BCL Industries, to MRSPTU. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma of MRSPTU held a fruitful and meaningful interaction with Shri Mittal along with Dr. Manjeet Bansal, Prof. Civil Engineering Department and Faculty Coordinator Idea Lab, Er. Harjot Singh Sidhu, Director Training and Placement, Dr. Pritpal Singh Bhullar, Head, University Business School and Dr. Haramritpal Singh Sidhu, Tech Guru Idea Lab.

BCL Industries has extended its valuable support to the University through a CSR contribution towards the establishment of the BCL–AICTE IDEA Lab, fostering innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship among students.

Further strengthening its commitment to education and student welfare, BCL Industries has announced and initiated a scholarship scheme for 25 newly admitted students of MRSPTU. The initiative will provide financial support to deserving students and help them pursue their academic aspirations with greater confidence.

MRSPTU gratefully acknowledges BCL Industries for its continued support and commendable contribution towards empowering students, promoting innovation, and strengthening industry–academia collaboration.

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) turned into a hub of high energy, incredible talent, and vibrant celebrations as it welcomed its newest batch through the Student Induction Programme (SIP-2026) and the spectacular “MRSPTU Youth Connect 2026”!

The grand celebration was brilliantly graced by esteemed Guests of Honour, Sh. Padamjeet Singh Mehta (Mayor, Bathinda) and S. Guljit Singh Shah (Chief Functionary, Guru Harkrishan Educational Society, Chandigarh), alongside our visionary Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, who inspired our youth to champion discipline, innovation, and nation-building.

Mayor Sh. Padamjeet Singh Mehta delivered fantastic news for the campus, announcing the upcoming launch of an exclusive Open Gym for girl students at the university hostel and a special bus stand to make daily commuting seamless.

Adding to the joy, S. Guljit Singh Shah reassured students that financial hurdles will never block their dreams, sharing that his society has proudly extended around ₹15 lakh in aid to MRSPTU students and nearly ₹3.5 crore across the nation!

Organized by the Public Relations Department alongside the Student Ambassador Team and social media Incharge Er. Sahil Garg, the stage lit up with electrifying performances. Under the expert eye of judge Dr. Anumeet Kaur Sidhu, our star performers stole the show:
