For a long time, I kept asking:
Why did they change?
Why did they stop caring?
Why did things become so different?
I thought their change was the whole story.
Until I realized...
I had changed too.
I no longer wanted the same things.
I no longer tolerated the same behavior.
I no longer needed the same people around me.
Maybe we didn't become strangers because someone failed.
Maybe we simply became different people.
And sometimes, growth looks exactly like losing people you once thought you'd never lose.
You don't always need an explanation for why someone changed.
Sometimes, you just need to accept that you aren't the person who needed them anymore.
That's not bitterness.
That's growth.
I stopped asking why they changed when I realized I had changed too.
And perhaps the most peaceful form of closure is realizing that neither of you has to be the villain.
You simply became different chapters.
