September 2026 was a proud and memorable day for the whole SSD family as we celebrated the academic achievement of our students for session 2023 - 24 and 2024- 25 under the astute supervision of Dr. Neeru Garg ( Principal). Sh. Rajesh Dhiman ( IAS, DC Bathinda) had been invited as the chief guest
Sh. Ashok Kumar, social justice & empowerment officer Bathinda, Mamta Sethi, DEO and Reena Mandal ,Regional Provident Fund Commissioner were the special invitees for this occasion.
Function started with a floral welcome of the chief guest and the special invitees by esteemed Sabha members , college management committee and Principal followed by lighting of the lamp.
Formal welcome was addressed by advocate Shri Sanjay Goyal (President, SSD Group of Girls' colleges).
Dr Neeru Garg read the annual report stating the college achievements in academic and co- curricular arena.
Students presented Ganesh Vandana and mesmerizing cultural events on the theme "peace". Chief guest felicitated the university merit holders and academically meritorious students with medals and mementos
13 students (including 2 Gold medalists) from MBA & MCA were awarded for bringing positions in University merit and 26 UG & PG students for college positions.
In addition to this, those students who brought laurels to the college in various competitions and extracurricular activities were also felicitated with memento and appreciation certificates.

3. Ms. Simran BBA for best volunteer National services scheme
4. Ms Sneha MCA for best volunteer Red ribbon club
5. Ms. Sneha MCA for Role of Honor
6. Ms. Kajal MBA for best volunteer in financial literacy club.
During this function, MS Manisha Bhatnagar (HOD, Computet Science), Dr. Kirti Singh (Librarian) and Mr Kulwant Singh (Superintendent) were felicitated for completing 25 years of successful service. Basement parking was also inaugurated by the chief guest .
The chief guest in his speech congratulated and motivated the awardees for their outstanding performance and lauded and praised the college authorities for raising the educational standard in the city for girls.
He appreciated the students, teachers and management for such a message oriented programme. He stated that he felt highly honoured and elated to have visited SSD Group of Girls’ Colleges. He urged parents to encourage and praise their children for their good work and achievements as appreciation gives them indomitable strength to face the world.
Along with faculty of all the three colleges, non teaching staff, elite parents and award winner for excellence in academic and extracurricular activities attended the function
Dr. Bimla Sahu gave Vote of thanks . She welcomed and thanked honorable chief guest and special guests for their benign presence. She thanked the august gathering, press media and guests for gracing the event.
The stage was conducted by Dr. Pomy Bansal ( Vice -Principal & HOD Commerce Deptt.) and Dr. Ekta ( Assoc. Prof. in CS). Program culminated with the National Anthem.
