Students' Council AIMSR '24

A very Warm Greetings of Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas from the family of AIMSR and Students' Council 2024!

On July 10, 2024, the "Threads of Kindness" event was organized by IMA-MSN, AIMSR, Bathinda, in collaboration with IRIA Punjab and JRC Welfare Society. The event took place in the Department of Radio-Diagnosis at AIMSR and was strongly supported by Dr. Reemanshu Bansal (National Coordinator of the Social Wing, IRIA), Prof. (Dr.) Manjot Kaur (HOD Radiology, Vice President IRIA Punjab), Mrs. Twinkle Gupta (Secretary, JRC Welfare Society), and Miss Kritika Chopra (MBBS student, Co-convener IMA MSN). Prof. (Dr.) Manjot Kaur addressed both students and patients, while Dr. Reemanshu Bansal highlighted various IRIA Punjab initiatives, including Project Raksha, Project Udaan, and the JRC Mobile Library. Four MBBS students gave talks on menstrual hygiene and the early signs and symptoms of uterine cancer. This noble initiative raised Rs 7330 for sanitary pads and collected over seven bags of clothes and two bags of books for donation to slums adopted by IRIA Punjab Bathinda. The enthusiasm, dedication, and active participation of the students made this event a great success, with hopes that the baton will be passed on to future batches.
