Makar Sankranti is an important harvest festival celebrated in India with great joy and enthusiasm. It marks the transition of the Sun into the zodiac sign Capricorn (Makar), symbolizing the end of winter and the beginning of longer days. This festival is usually observed on 14th January every year. People celebrate Makar Sankranti by flying kites, taking holy dips in rivers, and sharing sweets made of sesame seeds and jaggery, which represent unity and warmth.
A half-yearly Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) in school is an essential event that fosters communication between teachers and parents.
