BLDEA’s College of Pharmacy, Basavana Bagewadi, celebrated the 79th Independence Day on 15th August 2025 with great patriotic enthusiasm and respect for the nation’s heritage. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and a salute by student volunteers. In his address, the Principal spoke about the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and urged students to uphold the values of integrity, service, and responsibility in their personal and professional lives.
On this occasion, a Debate Competition was organized on the thought-provoking topic “Is India Truly Independent in the 21st Century?” Students presented compelling arguments both in favour and against the motion, touching on aspects such as economic independence, educational progress, sports and cultural freedom, social equality, and global influence. The participants showcased strong research skills, critical thinking, and eloquent expression.
