Compost Formation - While composting is a great way to reduce the amount of food waste sent to local landfills, it can only be used with Organic food waste.

Mr. Vishal, science teacher of Satluj World, Derabassi practically taught the students of class 8 in groups that Composting help our planet by reducing methane gas emissions and lessen the no. of materials sent to landfills.

Ultimately, It is a great way to create a healthier World while also decreasing our Carbon footprint.

Online Dance Activity for classes 3rd & 4th
Dance activity using music is a perfect time to show children how important it is to get active , to stay fit and healthy. Ms.Suman Sharma, Principal of SATLUJ WORLD SCHOOL, DERABASSI always encourages creative activity to keep the students active especially during online classes. On 12th Feb, 2022 Ms. Sona , Admission Coordinator conducted dance class for classes 3rd & 4th easy steps were taught on the song " Can't stop the feeling" . Class teacher Ms.Mona, Ms. Shalu and Ms. Pooja actively participated and encouraged the students. Students were very happy and they enjoyed as they grooved to the music. Creative activities to keep students engaged
While schools have largely trained their focus on live online classroom and worksheets for students during lockdown, Satluj World School, Derabassi's Principal Ms Suman Sharma has also been encouraging them to recommend creative activities as schools are recognising the need to keep the students active. Ms.Sona, Admission Coordinator conducted activity classes for classes 5th & 6th, on Saturday 5th February where she taught useful creative paper bags and shagun envelope. The class teachers Ms. Ruchika and Ms. Supreet Kaur encouraged their class and they themselves participated. It was a useful fun learning and refreshing concept for students.
