Musical Morning at HPGMS 🎵
We joined the world in celebrating World Music Day — Fête de la Musique — a festival born in France in 1982 that now unites 120+ countries every Summer Solstice!
Our young musicians made this day truly special by presenting a gem of a musical connection —Robert Burns' timeless Scottish folk song "Ye Banks and Braes o' Bonnie Doon" — the very melody that inspired our beloved Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore to compose the enchanting "Phule Phule Dhole Dhole" From the highlands of Scotland to the heart of Bengal — our students beautifully brought to life how music travels across centuries and cultures, stitching souls together in ways words never can.
Melody is the only thread that strings a million hearts together.
Today, our little ones held that thread with pride!

Stretch, Breathe, Smile: HPGMS Inspiring Excellence
The school wore a different look - mats lined up in neat rows, a hush of anticipation, and rows of young faces ready to fold, stretch, and breathe their way into International Yoga Day.
Students from Class 1 to Class 8 took part in a special yoga session, guided with patience and energy by Physical Education teachers Ms. Rajashree Das and Mr. Nelson Maity. From simple breathing exercises to basic asanas, the children moved through each pose with a mix of giggles and genuine focus — proof that learning to sit still can sometimes be the liveliest part of the day.
The message was simple: a calm mind and a healthy body aren't separate goals — they grow together, one mindful breath at a time.
The morning was truly special. The Principal and teachers stepped onto their own mats which proved to be a truly rejuvenating experience for all — not just because of the deep breaths exhaled, but because of the shared sense of calm that yoga always seems to leave behind. HPGMS took a collective pause to remember that taking care of the mind is just as essential as any lesson in the classroom. It was a refreshing reminder that wellness has no age limit.Here's to more mornings that begin with a stretch and end with a smile.

Bringing Science to Life: Exploring the Summer Solstice at HPGMS! 🌍✨
Learning isn’t just about reading from a textbook—it’s about experiencing the wonder of our universe firsthand!
Recently, one of our teachers delivered an illuminating presentation on the Summer Solstice, making complex astronomical concepts incredibly fun and easy to grasp for our students.
To demonstrate the exact mechanism behind the longest day of the year, she used a simple yet powerful experiment: a torch and a globe. By tilting the globe and shining the torch, students got a clear, visual understanding of how the Earth’s 23.5^\circ axial tilt creates our changing seasons. They also got to know about how the event is celebrated over the world and its relation with Indian Monsoon.

Making Memories at Eden Gardens ✨🏏
On June 16, the historic Eden Gardens witnessed an absolute thriller as our management group’s newly acquired team, the Novus Purulia Royals, put up a spectacular fight against the Murshidabad Kings.
Novas Purulia Royals set a massive target of 196/3 in 18 overs, showcasing incredible firepower with the bat. The Kings managed to chase it down (200/6) in a nail-biting finish, winning by 4 wickets with just two balls to spare.
For the students of HPGMS, Watching high-octane, live cricket at Eden Gardens is a dream, but cheering for a team that is now part of our own family made the energy in the stands completely electric.
It was a proud moment for the entire community, made even more special with several dignitaries from the Bandhan Group joining the stands to support the team alongside the students.
The match was a brilliant real-world lesson in teamwork, pressure, and fighting until the very last ball. Our students walked away inspired, full of pride, and ready to back the Royals in the games to come!
