Students from GOD'S GRACE SCHOOL , BARRACKPORE 🏫 🏫 recently visited the Prof. Amal Kumar Raychaudhuri Centenary Observatory for Astronomical Research at the IEM, Newtown Campus, for an exclusive educational programme on astronomy 🔭🔭.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the IEM-UEM Group for organising such an enriching and well-structured learning experience for our students.
During the visit, the students actively participated in observational sessions, attended informative lectures, and gained valuable knowledge about the fundamentals of astronomy. The programme also included engaging quiz competitions and interactive sessions, which made the learning process both enjoyable and intellectually stimulating.
One of the major highlights of the visit was the live observation of sunspots through a telescope, allowing students to witness astronomical phenomena directly with their own eyes — an experience that proved truly memorable and inspiring.
The students enthusiastically took part in all activities and greatly enjoyed the programme while expanding their understanding of astronomy. Prizes were awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position holders of the quiz competition. Participation certificates were also distributed by the college to all attending students in recognition of their involvement.
The visit was an excellent blend of education, interaction, and practical exposure, leaving a lasting impact on our young learners.
