You probably are getting down those stairs for the last time as a student of the school. With all the blessings and good wishes from your teachers, you are going to sit in the upcoming 1st big exam of your life. You are meeting with your classmates officially for the last time. Join steps, place hand in their hands and stand in rows with them to take the snaps which will be cherished throughout the rest of your life. You collect two lines of best wishes from your mentors, touch their feet and hear from them the encouraging words for the upcoming journey of your life. From the pond, you will now be going towards Lake, Sea and Ocean of your higher studies. You will face many challenges in this journey and of course many opportunities. But you will never forget these golden days which will turn into diamond as you grow old. The “chaddi buddies” you are taking photographs with today will be felt like as your brothers or sisters some day. You are just not realizing it now that how much you will miss them in future.

আপনারা নিশ্চয়ই অবগত আছেন যে ডি.এ.ভি. পাবলিক স্কুল ব্যারাকপুর সম্প্রতি রাজ্যের নো-অবজেকশন সার্টিফিকেট(NOC) পেয়েছে। সাধারনতঃ এই NOC পেতে দুই-থেকে তিনবছর সময় লাগে। বর্তমান ক্ষেত্রে রেকর্ড সময়ে (৭২ দিনে) NOC পাওয়া গেল। এর ফলে আগামী দিনে CBSE অ্যাফিলিয়েশন পাবার রাস্তায় একটি বড় বাধা আমরা অতিক্রম করলাম । এখন কেবলমাত্র CBSE তে আবেদন করার কাজটাই বাকি। অ্যাফিলিয়েশন পাবার জন্য যে সমস্ত ডকুমেন্টস লাগে তার সবগুলিই স্কুলের কাছে আছে।
এই মূহুর্তে CBSE অ্যাফিলিয়েশন পোর্টাল খোলা আছে ৩১-০৫-২০২২ তারিখ পর্যন্ত। ২০২৩-২৪ সালে যে সমস্ত ছাত্র-ছাত্রী নবম শ্রেনীতে উঠবে [অর্থাৎ যারা বর্তমানে সপ্তম শ্রেনীর পাঠ শেষ করল ] স্কুল কর্তৃপক্ষ তাদের জন্য এই পোর্টালের মাধ্যমে আবেদন করতে পারবেন ৩১শে মে’র মধ্যে। এই তারিখ সাধারনত এক্সটেন করা হয় সেপ্টেম্বর মাস পর্যন্ত। আবেদন করার ২ মাসের মধ্যেই সাধারনত CBSE অ্যাফিলিয়েশন পাওয়া যায়। অর্থাৎ যে সমস্ত ছাত্র-ছাত্রী এই বছর অষ্টম শ্রেনীতে উঠবে তারা নিশ্চিন্ত থাকতে পারে যে তারা এই স্কুল থেকেই তাদের দশম শ্রেনীর বোর্ডের পরীক্ষা দেবে।
তবে যারা এবছর নবম শ্রেনীতে উঠবে তাদেরও কিছু আশা আছে। CBSE অ্যাফিলিয়েশন পোর্টাল-এ বর্তমানে ২০২৩-২৪ হল current year আর ২০২২-২৩ হল previous year। CBSE বোর্ড মাঝে-মাঝে আগের বছরের জন্য (previous year) পোর্টাল আবার খুলে দেয়। এটা যদি করা হয় তাহলে তৎক্ষনাৎ ২০২২-২৩ সালে যারা নবম শ্রেনীতে উঠবে তাদের জন্যও আবেদন করা হবে। তারাও সুযোগ পাবে ব্যারাকপুর থেকে পরীক্ষা দেওয়ার। Previous year-এর জন্য পোর্টাল খোলার খবর CBSE-র ওয়েবসাইটে সার্কুলার হিসাবে আপলোড করা হবে। স্কুলের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে যে, তারা নিয়মিত এই ওয়েবসাইটে নজর রেখে চলেছে। ওয়েবসাইট-এর লিংক নীচে দেওয়া হলঃ

Expectations were high, waiting was painful and frustrating. But at last, the pupils of the DAV Barrackpore are going to enter their very own school building from the coming academic year, if and only if the COVID situation is contained. Here are some glimpse of their (and of teachers and guardians as well) much awaited place which is going through the last minute finishing touches.
