Today we were pleased to host Gen Bipin Rawat, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, ADC, COAS, who registered his solemn presence in our school to inaugurate the 50 KW Solar Plant, a pilot project that would see through conservation of resources and would also inspire other institutions to embrace the concept.

This occasion was also graced by the dignified presence of Madam Madhulika Rawat in tandem. The venerable presence of Lt Gen Manoj Mukund Naravane, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, GOC-in-C Eastern Comd also added to the solemnity of the occasion.

A one-day workshop on ‘Gender Sensitivity’ was conducted by CBSE Centre of Excellence, Kolkata at APS Barrackpore on 31st Aug 2017 in sync with the increasing demand for awareness on instilling gender sensitivity in class rooms. Almost 27 teachers from premier CBSE schools attended the effective workshop while a lot of efforts have already been made on integrating gender concerns in Education, the session will enable the facilitators reflect and focus in a proactive manner on transforming attitudes, beliefs and behavioral patterns that impact gender relations in different spheres of life.
