We are proud to share that Dr. Nur Hussain, Assistant Professor of Physics at Madhab Choudhury College, Barpeta, is among the distinguished laureates of the 2025 Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics as part of the ALICE collaboration.

This remarkable achievement brings immense pride to Madhab Choudhury College, Barpeta and the entire academic community. It reflects his dedication, excellence in research, and the growing academic stature of our institution.

The result of the IIT JAM, 2026 was officially declared. Salamat Khan, a 6th semester student of the Department of Chemistry, Madhab Choudhury College, has got All India Rank (AIR), 351 in the IIT JAM 2026. Another 6th semester student of the same Department, Dilmamod, got All India Rank (AIR) 1044. We congratulate both the students and also the Department of Chemistry for their success and making the college fraternity proud.

The District awareness meeting concerning the PC and PNDT Act was Organized by the District Family Welfare Bureau, Barpeta, Assam, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, Madhab Choudhury College, Barpeta, on 19th February 2026. The program addressed critical subjects including early marriage, gender discrimination, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and the provisions of the PC-PNDT Act. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Prakash Sarma, Principal, Madhab Choudhury College. Distinguished medical professionals Dr. Abdur Rashid Bhuyan, Pediatrician, I/C DIO Barpeta; Dr. Sushil Kr. Nath, Radiologist, Mandia Model Hospital; and Dr. Hussain Mohammad Shohail, Gynecologist, Mandia Model Hospital, delivered thoughtful talks related to the theme. Furthermore, Dr. Ajit Kr. Sarma, Additional Chief Medical & Health Officer (FW), Barpeta, highlighted the importance of the Act and its implications. Concluding the session, Dr. Hitesh Das, Head of the Department of Chemistry, Madhab Choudhury College, delivered a vote of thanks regarding the also highlighting the facts of the theme. Students also provided valuable feedback regarding the programme at the end.

The Girls’ Common Room section of the 85th College Week at M.C. College was filled with joy, creativity, and vibrant participation through exciting events like the Makeup Competition, Mehendi Competition, Dora Koina Competition, Rangoli Competition, and Randhan Xal Competition. 🌸🎨👩‍🍳

All the programmes were truly enjoyable and created beautiful memories of togetherness, talent, and celebration. 💖🌼
