Three Students from Assam to Participate in International Debate Competition in Qatar

Guwahati, May 22: Three students from Assam, Jeherul Bhuyan, Abu Shahed Ali, and Sharif Aktar, will represent India at the 7th International University Debate Championship organized by the Qatar Foundation.

The team secured first place in the National Debate Championship held by Calicut University and Kunia College of Arts and Sciences in Kerala on January 23-24, which qualified them for the international competition. The students, from Darul Huda Islamic University, Baisha, Barpeta district, will compete in Qatar from May 25-30. They will depart for Doha from Kozhikode International Airport in Kerala on Friday

The students of Darul Huda Assam Campus have performed exceptionally well in the Assam Higher Secondary Examination this year as well. This year too, our students have been awarded the Dr BANIKANTA KAKATI Award, (free scooters). The award is presented by the Government of Assam to students who are of high standards in +2 exams. The girls who score 60 per cent and boys who score 75 per cent are eligible for the same.
13 out of the 19 students who appeared for the exam were selected by the government. The rest of the students also cleared the exam along with the first class.
This victory proves that they can conquer everything if they get good guidance and learning facilities.
