Germination of Seeds – Science Activity 🌱
Aim
To observe how a seed grows into a new plant.
Materials Required
Gram seeds / bean seeds
Cotton or tissue paper
Small bowl or glass
Water
Procedure
Take a bowl and place wet cotton in it.
Put 4–5 seeds on the cotton.
Sprinkle a little water daily to keep the cotton moist.
Keep the bowl in a warm place.
Observe the seeds for 4–5 days.
Observation
The seed absorbs water and swells.
A tiny root comes out first.
Then a small shoot and leaves appear.
Conclusion
Seeds need water, air, and warmth to germinate and grow into a new plant.
