The Department of Physical Science, S.S.D. College Barnala, organized a Special Lecture on “Kekulé’s Ring Structure in Chemistry” on 24 September 2026. The lecture, delivered by Ms. Anmoldeep Kaur, Assistant Professor in Chemistry, focused on the historical development and scientific significance of Kekulé’s structure of benzene. The interactive session enhanced students’ conceptual understanding of ring structures, chemical bonding, and aromatic compounds.

📚 ਸਾਹਿਤ, ਸਮਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੋਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋੜਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਰਥਕ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਚਰਚਾ
ਐੱਸ ਐੱਸ ਡੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਬਰਨਾਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਰਾਕੇਸ਼ ਜਿੰਦਲ ਦੀ ਸੁਚੱਜੀ ਰਹਿਨੁਮਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਜਕ ਸਰੋਕਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚਾਰ-ਚਰਚਾ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਵਰਮਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਵਕਤਾ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਰਕਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ “ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨਾਟਕ : ਸਮਾਜਕ ਸਰੋਕਾਰ” ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ’ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਗੰਭੀਰ, ਸਾਰਥਕ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨਵਰਧਕ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ।
ਡਾ. ਵਰਮਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਮਕਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਨਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਯਥਾਰਥ, ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਾ, ਲੋਕ-ਜੀਵਨ, ਸਮਾਜਕ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਦਲਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੁਣੌਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਨਾਟਕ ਕੇਵਲ ਮਨੋਰੰਜਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਧਨ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸਮਾਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਕੀਕਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਨ, ਸਵਾਲ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਚੇਤਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਮਾਧਿਅਮ ਵੀ ਹੈ।

DigiLocker Awareness Workshop at SSD College, Barnala

SSD College, Barnala, organised an informative workshop to guide students about DigiLocker, a digital document storage and verification service. Students were guided through the process of creating a DigiLocker account, accessing and storing digital documents, and understanding their online verification.
