Broadway Public School, Manal, conducted an engaging “Brain Gym Activity” for our tiny tots. As part of the activity, the little learners were encouraged to draw different shapes on the board, helping them develop their hand-eye coordination, concentration, creativity, and fine motor skills.

The activity was a fun-filled learning experience, and our tiny tots participated with great enthusiasm and excitement. The entire activity was successfully conducted under the supervision of class incharge and supervision of HoS Ms. Sazia.

The Science Department, in collaboration with the YUVA CLUB of Broadway Public School, Manal, organized an educational trip to CSIR–Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO), Chandigarh, under the guidance of Science Stream Coordinator Mr. Ranjit Singh.

The visit aimed to provide students with experiential learning and exposure to scientific research, advanced technologies, and instrumentation. Students explored various laboratories and gained practical insights into classroom concepts.

The experience helped develop scientific curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and interest in research and innovation, while also encouraging students to consider future careers in science and technology. The visit successfully connected theoretical knowledge with practical applications and enriched students’ learning experiences.

The Science Department and YUVA CLUB express gratitude to Chairman Mr. Ranjeet Singh Cheema, Director Ms. Navreet Kaur, and Principal Mr. Mohammad Arif Saify for their support.

The trip was a meaningful learning experience for the students and a valuable initiative towards providing them with experiential learning beyond the classroom.

80th Independence Day and Teej Festival Celebrated with Patriotic Fervour and Cultural Grandeur

Broadway Public School, Manal, celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India alongside the vibrant festival of Teej, bringing together patriotic fervour and the rich cultural heritage of Punjab.

The celebrations commenced in the morning with flag hoisting, marking the occasion with a profound sense of national pride. The programme continued at the school’s Legacy Hall, where students presented an engaging blend of patriotic and cultural performances.

The Independence Day segment featured student speeches highlighting the significance of freedom, patriotism and the responsibilities of young citizens. A melodious group song further enhanced the patriotic atmosphere, filling the hall with a spirit of unity and national pride.

The programme then transitioned into the colourful festivities of Teej. A soulful Teej-themed poetry presentation beautifully captured the essence of the festival, followed by vibrant choreography and a traditional Giddha performance, showcasing the richness of Punjabi culture and traditions.

The Teej ramp walk was another highlight of the celebration, with students confidently presenting themselves in traditional Punjabi attire. The much-awaited Miss Teej competition added to the excitement, with Ms. Subhangi being crowned Miss Teej for her confidence, grace and spirited participation.

The event was graced by Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Mrs. International Earth Elite 2026, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, she shared her words of wisdom, appreciated the students’ performances and encouraged them to remain confident, dedicated and connected to their cultural roots.

Mr. Ranjeet Singh Cheema, Chairman of the school, addressed the gathering and spoke on the significance of both Independence Day and Teej, emphasising patriotism, cultural heritage, unity and respect for traditions.

Mr. M. A. Saify, Principal of the school, appreciated the successful organisation of the event and acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the entire Punjabi Department. He particularly appreciated Mrs. Harminder Kaur, Head of the Punjabi Department, Ms. Noreen Malik, Activity Coordinator, and all the teachers involved in making the celebration a grand success.

The celebration concluded on a joyous and memorable note, beautifully blending patriotism, music, poetry, dance and Punjabi traditions, while providing students with a meaningful platform to celebrate both the nation's freedom and their cultural heritage.
