The Department of Software Development organized a Add-On course on Hardware, Networking, and System Administration, held from March 11th to March 31st. The course witnessed the participation of 26 students, of which 25 students successfully passed the practical examination. The college management awarded certificates to the successful students. Dr. Rama Sharma, Principal, Prof. Gaurav Singla, Head of the Department, Prof. Sahil Garg and Ms. Ramandeep Kaur were present at the certificate distribution ceremony and congratulated the students on their success.

ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ Software Development ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ Tanisha ਦੁਆਰਾ B.Voc.(Software Development) ਕੋਰਸ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਵਿੱਚੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਅੱਜ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਥੇ ਜਿਕਰਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕੋਰਸ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ 8 ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

Students of the Department of Software Development visited Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib as part of their educational and cultural visit. The students paid their respects and learned about the rich history and sacrifices associated with the holy place. The visit provided them with an opportunity to connect with Sikh heritage and values.

We are proud to share that Amarjot Singh, a distinguished alumnus of the Department of Software Development, S.D. College, Barnala, has been selected for M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence at Ankara University, Turkey. He has also been awarded the prestigious Türkiye Bursları Scholarship for this program. Notably, his three-year B.Voc. (Software Development) degree was considered equivalent to a four-year graduation degree for admission. Amarjot credits the course for providing him with a strong foundation and practical skills, which played a significant role in helping him achieve his academic and career goals.

Department of Software Development has introduced an Add On course in Hardware, Networking, and System Administration, catering to around 26 students from varied disciplines including B.A., B.Com., BCA, B.Sc., and B.Voc. This course, lasting about 15 days, focuses on providing practical insights into Hardware and Networking, and will be followed by a certificate ceremony.
