Invertis University is pleased to share that the university is working successfully as the Local Chapter of Swayam NPTEL since 2017. SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) is the National MOOCs portal being developed by MHRD, Govt. of India. National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a project of Ministry of HRD initiated by seven IIT (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) along with the IISc, Bangalore, to provide quality education to those interested in learning from the IITs.The initiative aims to “bridge the digital divide for students who have hitherto remained untouched by the digital revolution and have not been able to join the mainstream of the knowledge economy”. The main goal was to create online courses in all major branches of engineering and physical sciences at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and management courses at the postgraduate level. NPTEL has the largest online repository in the world of courses in engineering, basic sciences, and selected humanities and social sciences subjects. While launching the initiative, President Mukherjee said, Swayam portal “enables one to take courses offered by the best teachers, remaining where they are.It is also a call to the other teachers to use this material and improve their own teaching capacity”. The learning in NPTEL Online certification is free and is open for anyone and everyone.There is an optional proctored certification exam that the student can take part at the end of the course to earn certificates from the IITs.

Suhail Javed Quraishi is the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) since its inception at university and in each batch some teachers are selected as the mentors for the courses.Mentors are assigned course wise. Mentor help students for NPTEL courseassignments and videos lectures queries. Invertis University always strive hard for the technical upbringing of the students.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Invertis University, Bareilly is organizing a One-week Online Faculty Development Programme on “INTELLIGENT SYSTEMS” from June 29, 2020 to July 04, 2020. As we are moving ahead in the era of digitalization, Intelligent Systems are in the urgent need to gather and analyze data and communicate with other systems. These systems have the capability to evolve their intelligence and improve over time. They can perceive and respond to the world around them. They have ability to learn from experience and adapt according to the environment while considering the current data captured from various sources available online. Intelligent systems can take many forms, from automated transportation systems, expert system, recommendation systems and intent recognition systems. It has various applications such as factory automation, robotics, visual surveillance, education, medical, human identification using various biometric modalities and many more. At the same time, research in intelligent systems faces numerous challenges due to uncertain and dynamic environment.
The assets of every FDP are their resource persons. As speakers, this FDP welcome some of the very experienced Academicians from IIT, NITs, AMU and other prestigious academic organizations; Researchers from organization like DRDO and Bhabha; and Industrial Professionals from United Kingdom, USA, Qatar etc. The proposed faculty development program provides a proper platform to participate in discussions and presentations of the latest technologies and discoveries in the field of Engineering. This course will offer a unique opportunity to the Academicians, and Researchers working in this area to acquire knowledge in current and relevant topics in Computer Science and Engineering. The overall objective of the FDP is to assort the research findings on the latest achievements, up-to-date issues, and challenges in the field of Intelligent systems.
Entry to the is free of cost but on First Come First Serve basis, as the seats are limited. E-certificate will be provided to all the attendees.

A smart initiative is taken by the Dynamic Mayor of Bareilly, Dr. Umesh Gautam to aware the people of Bareilly about the Cyber crimes and frauds. Under his guidance, Department of Computer Science & Engineering and I-Tech Club of Invertis University organized an awareness session on “Cyber crimes and its safeguards” on June 06, 2020. The session was live on Facebook and thousands of people were benefitted by the information given by the renowned Cyber Security advisor. Many more sessions will be taken soon.
