खेत बचाओ अभियान: मिट्टी बचाने से लेकर किसान सशक्तिकरण तक देशव्यापी प्रयास!

स्वस्थ मिट्टी, संतुलित उर्वरक उपयोग और टिकाऊ खेती को बढ़ावा देने के लिए चल रहे “खेत बचाओ अभियान” ने पूरे देश में एक जनआंदोलन का रूप ले लिया है। खेतों से लेकर पंचायत भवनों तक, किसान चौपालों से लेकर सोशल मीडिया तक—हर स्तर पर जागरूकता की नई लहर दिखाई दे रही है।

अब तक देशभर में 11,848 जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जा चुके हैं, जिनसे 6.58 लाख किसानों को जोड़ा गया है। किसानों को संतुलित एवं एकीकृत उर्वरक उपयोग के बारे में जानकारी देने के लिए 3,002 प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित हुए, जिनमें 1,05,070 प्रतिभागियों ने हिस्सा लिया।

जैविक खेती और मिट्टी की सेहत को बेहतर बनाने के लिए 7,743 प्रदर्शन कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए, जिनमें हरी खाद, जैव उर्वरक और अन्य कार्बनिक स्रोतों के उपयोग का व्यावहारिक प्रशिक्षण दिया गया।

अभियान में जनभागीदारी भी लगातार बढ़ रही है। 4,772 पंच, सरपंच एवं जनप्रतिनिधियों ने सम्मेलनों के माध्यम से सहभागिता की। वहीं 9,609 इनपुट डीलरों से संवाद कर उर्वरकों के विवेकपूर्ण उपयोग पर जागरूकता बढ़ाई गई।

FPOs, SHGs और FIGs से जुड़े 8,382 किसान-सदस्यों तक सीधे पहुंच बनाकर उन्हें जैविक संसाधनों के एकीकरण की जानकारी दी गई। इसके साथ ही 52,044 स्थानों पर बैनर, पोस्टर और होर्डिंग्स के माध्यम से अभियान को जन-जन तक पहुँचाया गया।

रेडियो, टीवी और डिजिटल प्लेटफॉर्म भी इस बदलाव के साथी बने हैं। अब तक 921 रेडियो वार्ताएँ और 187 टीवी/डिजिटल कार्यक्रम प्रसारित किए जा चुके हैं, जबकि सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से लगभग 2.49 करोड़ लोगों तक संदेश पहुँच चुका है।

यह अभियान सिर्फ उर्वरकों के संतुलित उपयोग का संदेश नहीं, बल्कि स्वस्थ मिट्टी, समृद्ध किसान और सुरक्षित भविष्य की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम है।

The Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) Centre in collaboration with the Livestock Production Management (LPM) Section organized a 5-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) on Pig Production from 18–22 May, 2026 at ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute. A total of 27 participants from different states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi and Uttarakhand participated in the programme. The training focused on scientific pig production, entrepreneurship opportunities, management practices, and government support schemes to promote self-employment and sustainable livestock-based enterprises.

ICAR-IVRI Mukteswar campus in collaboration with ATARI, Ludhiana organized an Interface Meet on 'Strengethening livestock extension and climate resilient farming in hilly areas" in Hybrid mode for the KVKs & farmers of Uttarakhand.

As part of the MGMG programme, ICAR–Indian Veterinary Research Institute conducted an awareness and outreach programme on 13 May 2026 in the villages of Chintauli and Rahpura Jagir. During the programme, the team interacted with local farmers and discussed the importance of balanced fertilizer application and Integrated Nutrient Management (INM) practices in sustainable agriculture.A total of 52 farmers actively participated in the programme. The participants showed keen interest in the discussions and appreciated the efforts of the institute in disseminating scientific knowledge directly to the farming community. Under the Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav (MGMG) initiative, awareness programmes focused on sustainable agriculture, soil health management, and optimum fertilizer use were successfully conducted on 12 May 2026 in two villages of Bareilly district—Paratashpur (Parataspur) in Bithiri Chainpur Block and Purnapur village.

ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute celebrated National Technology Day on May 11, 2026, at Kairuwa village, a goat seed village adopted by the institute. The programme was organized with the objective of disseminating IVRI technologies and scientific know-how among livestock owners and creating awareness regarding improved animal health and management practices.
A comprehensive animal health check-up camp was also organized during the event, where animals underwent ultrasonographic examinations for pregnancy detection and infertility-related diagnosis.

As part of the MGMG programme, the ICAR–Indian Veterinary Research Institute conducted an awareness and outreach programme on 11 May 2026 in Village Bhagawantipur Rajaram, Bareilly district. The campaign aimed to sensitize farmers about the harmful effects of excessive and indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers and to encourage environmentally sustainable farming practices for maintaining long-term soil fertility, crop productivity, and ecological balance.
