Remembering Dr. Verghese Kurien

On his death anniversary, ICAR remembers Dr. Verghese Kurien, the visionary architect of India’s White Revolution.

His pioneering leadership transformed the dairy sector, strengthened farmer-led cooperatives and empowered millions of rural families. His contribution helped lay the foundation for India’s journey towards self-reliance in milk production.

His vision, leadership and farmer-centric approach continue to inspire India’s agricultural and dairy transformation.
