On April 28, 2026, the main auditorium of 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 & 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 (𝐂𝐄𝐓𝐑) transformed into a sanctuary of nostalgia as the Department of Computer Science and Engineering bid a grand adieu to the Class of 2022. Under the poignant theme "𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐢𝐫- A Story We Will Tell Forever”, four years of late-night coding, shared laughter, and lifelong friendships was celebrated.

The morning kicked off with the serene notes of Saraswati and Ganesh Vandana. Our esteemed dignitaries, 𝐄𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐡𝐫𝐚 (𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫) and 𝐃𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐱𝐞𝐧𝐚 (𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐬, 𝐂𝐄𝐓𝐑), graced the inaugural session, offering pearls of wisdom and heartfelt blessings to our departing engineers as they prepare to debug the challenges of the professional world.

The transition from formal to festive was seamless! The air was electric with soulful melodies, dance performances, poetry, interactive games and video presentations that took everyone on a trip down memory lane.

The highlight of the day was the Mr. & Ms. Farewell Contest. After a high-stakes Q&A round that tested their wit and charm, we found our winners:

The 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 & 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐑𝐌𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡, in collaboration with EC-Council and the Value Addition Cell, under the supervision of IIC–SRMS CET&R, organized an insightful webinar on “𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲” 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐒𝐄 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐂𝐀 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 to highlight the growing importance of digital safety.

The session featured keynote speaker 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐢 (Senior Manager, EC Council), who shed light on safeguarding digital assets, personal data, and organizational systems in an increasingly connected world. He emphasized the rising risks of rapid digitalization and the urgent need for stronger security measures.
From 𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 to practical safeguards like𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬, 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠, the webinar covered it all.

Students were also introduced to 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 and its crucial role in identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening systems. Graced by HODs and faculty members, the session turned into an engaging learning experience, and encouraged safer digital habits while inspiring students to explore 𝐜𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡.

The 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟏 set the tone with DIY District, Art Gallery, Media Canvas, Rangoli, Face-Off, Spark & Sprout showcasing colour, creativity, and non-stop buzz everywhere. The 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 was next level, from𝐃𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠/𝐒𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 to an adrenaline-packed 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐭, from𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐟 to 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐌𝐢𝐦𝐞 & 𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞, where every moment hit differently. And when 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 took over, the stage literally came alive.
