Visit of ZEO Rohama, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Badhana, to PS Galibal: A Step Towards Educational Upliftment

In a remarkable display of commitment to the EHSSAS initiative, ZEO Rohama, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Badhana, visited one of the remotest schools in the zone, PS Galibal. Despite the absence of road facilities, Mr. Badhana made the effort to reach this isolated school, illustrating the true spirit of the EHSSAS initiative, which aims to reach every school within the zone to uplift their educational status using available resources.

The visit revealed a sobering reality. PS Galibal is struggling with severe infrastructural deficiencies. The school operates from a single rented room, lacking basic amenities such as drinking water and adequate learning spaces. In this small room, all academic and co-curricular activities are conducted, presenting significant challenges to the teaching and learning processes.

Despite these difficulties, the dedication of the teachers at PS Galibal is respectable. During the visit, both teachers were present and fully engaged with the students, demonstrating their loyalty to providing education under testing circumstances. However, the students' performance reflected the challenges they face, with many lacking proficiency in basic skills essential at the foundational and primary stages.

The school's overall performance was assessed as Grade D, highlighting the urgent need for intervention and support. Mr. Badhana's visit emphasizes the importance of addressing these challenges and finding ways to provide better facilities and resources to PS Galibal.

The EHSSAS initiative's goal of reaching every school and uplifting their educational status is more crucial than ever. It is crucial to mobilize resources, improve infrastructure, and support dedicated teachers to ensure that every child, regardless of their geographical location, has access to quality education. This visit marks the beginning of a renewed effort to transform PS Galibal and similar schools, providing them with the opportunities they deserve to succeed.
