Today on 16th June 2026, the Assistant Commissioner Development Baramulla, esteemed Mudasir Hussain Chowdhary along with a team of officers from the DC Office Baramulla visited HSS Nowgam Kandi, Zone Chandoosa to review various developmental aspects and assess the overall functioning and infrastructure of the institution. During the visit the dignitaries also inspected classrooms and interacted with students and staff to evaluate the overall academic progress learning environment, and educational activities being carried out in the school. The visit highlighted the administration's commitment to strengthening educational standards and institutional development.

Today, on 22nd May 2026, a Parent–Teacher Meet was held at HSS Nowgam Kandi, Zone Chandoosa, under the chairmanship of the Principal.

Under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, an awareness programme was successfully organized at HSS Nowgam Kandi in collaboration with SHO Chandoosa. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of building a healthy, disciplined, and responsible society.
During the event, speakers highlighted the growing menace of substance abuse and motivated students to stay away from drugs and adopt positive habits. The programme also emphasized the role of youth, teachers, parents, and society in making the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat successful. Students actively participated in the awareness session, making the event informative and inspiring.

Hands-on demonstration of the photochemical phase of photosynthesis was conducted by our esteemed Botany lecturer, Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ganie Sir for the students of Class 11th Medical stream. The session provided practical insight into the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis, helping students understand the process in an engaging and effective manner.
