*'Inscription of 12 Maratha Forts in UNESCO world heritage sites'*on *7th of August, 2026* from 10 am to 2 PM at VPSOA, Vidyanagari, Baramati
The objective of the lecture is to introduce students from 8th to 10th standard to the process of listing the Forts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj under UNESCO World Heritage recognition, while providing them with an insight into the professional work involved in documentation, research, archaeology, conservation, and heritage management. The lecture will be delivered by a team member who has been associated with Dronaah, and will highlight the practical processes, experiences, and methodologies involved in such heritage projects.
The session also aims to create awareness among students about the diverse career opportunities related to architecture, archaeology, conservation, heritage documentation, and allied fields. Through an understanding of the work and career pathways presented during the lecture, students will be better equipped to identify their interests and make informed decisions regarding their academic and professional choices after 10th standard.
