National Sports Day was celebrated on 29 August to commemorate the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, one of India’s greatest hockey players.
The day highlights the importance of sports, fitness, discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle. It also encourages children and young people to participate in sports and develop a spirit of sportsmanship and perseverance.
Sports teach us to dream, strive, fall, rise and never give up.
Happy National Sports Day!” 🇮🇳
