Today, the Department of Periodontology and Public Health dentistry at Chandra Dental College and Hospital organized a free dental camp at Composite Vidyalaya Jinholi, Barabanki. The event screened 150 individuals as part of the ongoing World Oral Health Day program.A team of doctors— Dr. Sudhanshu Agrawal,Dr.Komal S.Sharma, Dr. Surbhi Singh, and Dr. Pradeep Kumar Agarwal—along with interns, led the camp. They promoted oral hygiene awareness and delivered essential dental services, including an awareness campaign on oral health and caries prevention, comprehensive dental check-ups, and motivational talks on proper brushing techniques tailored for elderly participants.Toothpaste and toothbrushes were distributed to all attendees.

National Periodontist Day is celebrated on 23rd February, 2026 in Chandra Dental College and Hospital, Barabanki under the inspiration and guidance of Principal, Professor and Head Dr. Arun Verma and Head of the department DrAnand Kishore .
The theme was of the event was “Periodontists-The Gum Gaurdian."
With collective efforts of Faculty members Sudhanshu Agrawal DrKomal Sehgal Sharma and other faculty members, PG students, and UG students. Various activities were organized for patients education and competitions like Slogan Framing, Nukkad Natak,Pamphlet&Poster Formation, and Rangoli Making was also undertaken for students motivation.
Free distribution of toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwashes, and antiseptic gels was done to patients visiting the department and college OPD.

Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme
An Anti-Ragging Awareness Programme was successfully conducted at Chandra Dental College and Hospital on 16th December 2025. The institution was honored to have Dr. Nikhil Srivastava, Principal, Subharti Dental College & University, as the distinguished Guest Speaker for the programme.
The session was highly informative and focused on the importance of fostering a safe, respectful, and ragging-free academic environment. The speaker emphasized the significance of awareness, discipline, and ethical responsibility among students and faculty to ensure a positive campus culture.

Successful Celebration of Pedodontics Day 2025 at Chandra Dental College!

​The Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry at Chandra Dental College and Hospital, Barabanki, proudly celebrated Pedodontics Day (Children's Dental Health Day) on November 14, 2025.

​The successful event was organized under the esteemed inspiration and guidance of College Secretary Mr. V.K. Sharma, President Dr. C.P. Chaudhary, Dr Shruti S Grover and Dr. Arun Verma.

​Highlights of the Day
​The celebration was a collective success, driven by the collaborative efforts of the Faculty, Postgraduate (PG) students, and Undergraduate (UG) students. Key activities included:
​Educational Initiatives: Various awareness programs were organized focusing on comprehensive oral health education for visiting patients and children.
​Student Competitions: To motivate and engage the students, competitions were held in Slogan Framing, Skit, Poster Making, and Rangoli.

​
​The day concluded on a high note with a cake-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the successful community effort. The winners of the competitions received certificates, and the organizers were felicitated by college dignitaries, including Vice Principal Dr. Arvind Singh, Dr. Sujata Chaudhary, and the HODs of all departments.
​A critical part of the outreach involved the free distribution of essential oral hygiene kits to children and patients visiting the department and the college OPD.

The two-day academic orientation program Gyankosh 2025, organized on 26th and 27th september 2025 at Chandra Dental College & Hospital, Safedabad, Barabanki, concluded with resounding success. The program was designed exclusively for the newly admitted postgraduate students and centered around an intensive workshop on Research Methodology, equipping participants with the essential skills and perspectives required for their academic journey.

Chandra Dental College and Hospital observed Anti-Ragging Week from 12th to 18th August with great enthusiasm and commitment towards creating a safe and supportive campus environment. The celebration included awareness programs, seminars, and interactive sessions highlighting the harmful effects of ragging and the importance of maintaining respect and harmony among students. Posters and banners were displayed across the campus to spread awareness, and faculty members emphasized the college’s zero-tolerance policy against ragging. Students actively participated in discussions, pledge-taking ceremonies, and cultural activities that promoted unity and mutual respect.
