The excitement of Christmas was visible as the children, from Nursery to Std ll, enthusiastically participated in the pre-Christmas bash celebrations. With beaming smiles, they danced and sang along to the festive tunes, their joyful voices filled the air. Along with they got creative, busily preparing colorful masks and crafting a x- mas tree. Students wore red dresses and caps symbolizing the merriment of the Season. As they engaged themselves in the merriment, the children's infectious laughter and eagerness made the pre-Christmas 🎄🎄celebration an unforgettable experience.

Class IX Students Stage Role-Play on Gram Sabha's Power, Highlighting MYGS Initiative.
Today, students from Class IX presented a wonderful role-play showcasing the impact of the Gram Sabha's pressure on the Gram Panchayat. The performance centered on the fictional tribal village of Madhupur, where the Gram Sabha successfully compelled the Panchayat to undertake vital developmental work, focusing specifically on women's empowerment and holistic growth. The students' script effectively introduced the innovative Model Youth Gram Sabha (MYGS) initiative—a joint venture by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. Through a series of screenplays featuring the District Education Officer, Tribal Officer, and Tribal Minister, the role-play detailed the multi-dimensional development of Madhupur, including the construction of schools, streets, and other essential infrastructure.

On 22 December 2025, the students of Class XI (Science) of DAV Public School, DVC, MTPS, Bankura, visited the Mejia Thermal Power Station as part of an educational trip. During the visit, the engineers of MTPS explained the process of electricity generation and the safety measures followed in the plant. The visit provided the students with valuable practical knowledge and helped them understand the importance of power generation and energy conservation. The teachers and students expressed their sincere gratitude to the engineers and officials for their cooperation and for making the visit informative and memorable.

Reaffirming Constitutional Values: DAV Public School, DVC, MTPS (15589) Observes Constitution Day with Thoughtful Engagement.
DAV Public School, DVC, MTPS observed Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 with great enthusiasm and reverence, commemorating the adoption of the Constitution of India. The day’s events were designed to foster awareness about constitutional values and encourage active civic engagement among students.
The morning assembly began with a compelling speech by Suvarthi Chattaraj of Class IX, who spoke on the theme of National Unity and Integrity. Her address highlighted the importance of upholding the ideals of harmony and collective responsibility in a diverse nation like India. This was followed by an inspiring address by the Principal, Mr. Sanjay Majumdar, who emphasized the relevance of constitutional values in shaping responsible citizens and urged students to uphold the spirit of democracy in their daily lives.
Subsequently, students of Class X led the reading of the Preamble to the Constitution in front of students from Classes VII and IX. All present participated in the rendition with sincerity, embracing the spirit of the Constitution and its enduring ideals.
A debate competition was also organized on the topic of ‘Reservation’, which saw active participation from students of Classes IX and X. The participants presented well-reasoned arguments and counterpoints, reflecting a mature understanding of the complexities surrounding social equity and affirmative action. The debate served as a platform for students to engage critically with contemporary issues rooted in constitutional discourse.

DAV Public School, DVC MTPS, Bankura celebrated Children’s Day—the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru—with immense enthusiasm. The day commenced with a special assembly led by teachers, creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere. Teachers expressed their affection through engaging performances, including songs, dances, and recitations, filling the campus with ecstasy and excitement. A key highlight was the motivational address by our esteemed Principal Sir, who praised the students and inspired them to dream big and strive for excellence. South Bengal Chapter Inter School Knock Out Volley ball Tournament Under 19 and Quiz Competition organised by DAV Public School, DVC, MTPS, Bankura:
The much awaited Sahodaya School Complex, South Bengal Chapter Inter School Knock Out Volley ball Tournament held on dated 8 November 2025. These events brought together talented teams from schools across the region showcasing remarkable athleticism, teamwork and sportsmanship of out door game like volleyball. On the other hand the event Quiz competition aimed to encourage curiosity, teamwork and a love for learning among students.
Under the valuable guidance of Principal Sri Sanjay Majumdar, the events were graced by the presence of several dignitaries from DVC, including Sri P.P. Sah, (GM and Head of Project) along with Madam Sah; Sri Rajeev Ranjan, Chairman, DGM (Mech.) and Chairman School LMC together with Madam Priya; Sri S.B.Pal GM (Ash Management); Manoranjan Sahu, Sr. GM (Electrical); Arundhati Mukherjee, GM (CNM); Bimal Kumar, DGM (Mech) and Madam Jyotsna; Jayanta Biswas Sr. Manager (Civil) and Madam Biswas; Prashant Kumar, Senior Manager (Mech.) and Madam Vats; Sri Lalit Swain, Sr. Manager (Mech.) and Madam Swain along with Sri Amit Das, Principal, MDB DAV Public School, Bankura.
The matches were intense and thrilling in the field. After several rounds of exciting play DAV Public School, MTPS, Bankura emerged as the champion, defeating Satya Narayan Academy, Bankura in a close and hard fought final.
On Quiz Competition both in group A and group B participants faced questions-
started with knock out round including audio-visual, buzzers and rapid fire.
In group I (VI to VIII) Assembly of God church School Purulia emerged as the champion while Griffins International School, Kharagpur has secured the second position.
In group II (IX-XII) MDB DAV Public School, Bankura claimed the champions trophy defeating DAV Public school, DVC, MTPS.
Both the Volleyball Tournament and the Quiz competition reflected the spirit of inter school camaraderie, holistic development and excellence -- providing that success is achieved not just through winning, but through participation, teamwork and the pursuit of knowledge.

As the festive spirit of Diwali draws near, DAV Public School, DVC, MTPS, came alive with colour, culture, and creativity! Classes III–V lit up the atmosphere with their vibrant and artistic flair during the Diya Decoration Competition. Each diya was a glowing example of imagination, tradition, and youthful enthusiasm. Meanwhile, students from Classes VII–IX showcased their talent and teamwork in the Toran and Lantern Making Competition. With a beautiful mix of traditional craft and modern aesthetics, they created dazzling torans and lanterns that truly captured the essence of Diwali.
The competitions were not just a celebration of the festival, but also a platform for students to express their creativity, embrace cultural heritage, and build a spirit of joyful collaboration. From intricate patterns to eco-friendly designs, our young artists brought a warm, festive glow to every corner of the school.
