কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার এসসি, ওবিসি ছাত্রদের জন্য যে নতুন সব সুবিধা দিচ্ছে, সেগুলি এক নজরে। এসসি, ওবিসি ছাত্রদের চাকরির পরীক্ষার পড়ার খরচ দেবে কেন্দ্র
১) এসসি এবং ওবিসি ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের মাসিক ভাতা বাড়ছে। স্থানীয়রা ১,৫০০ টাকার বদলে এখন থেকে ২,৫০০ টাকা করে পাবেন। বাইরে থেকে আসা ছাত্ররা ৩ হাজার টাকার বদলে ৫,০০০ টাকা করে পাবেন।
২) দলিত এবং অনগ্রসর শ্রেণি ভুক্ত ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের সরকারি চাকরির পরীক্ষার জন্য পড়ার যাবতীয় খরচ এবার থেকে বহন করবে কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার।
৩) এর আগে দলিত এবং অনগ্রসর শ্রেণি ভুক্ত ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের সরকারি চাকরির পরীক্ষার জন্য ২০ হাজার টাকা পর্যন্ত দিত কেন্দ্র। নিয়ম বদলে সেই উর্ধ্বসীমা তুলে যাবতীয় খরচ দেওয়ার কথা ঘোষণা করা হচ্ছে।

৪) এসসি এবং ওবিসি ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা যাতে ভাল মানের প্রশিক্ষণ পান সেটা নিশ্চিত করতে চাইছে সরকার। বিখ্যাত প্রশিক্ষণ কেন্দ্রগুলির তালিকা তৈরি করা হচ্ছে। সেখানেই এসসি এবং ওবিসি ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের প্রশিক্ষণের ব্যবস্থা করা হবে।
৫) পরিবারের বার্ষিক আয় ৬ লক্ষ বা তার কম হলেই এসসি এবং ওবিসি ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা ইউপিএসসি, স্টাফ সিলেকশন কমিশন, রেলের বিভিন্ন পরীক্ষা, ব্যাঙ্ক, বিমা এবং রাষ্ট্রায়ত্ত সংস্থাগুলির অফিসার গ্রেডের পরীক্ষা, আইআইটি জেইই, এআইইইই, এআইপিএমটি, ক্যাট, আইনের পরীক্ষা, স্যাট, জিআরই, জিম্যাট টিওইএফএল এর মতো পরীক্ষাগুলির জন্য প্রশিক্ষণ পাবেন।

Notification of Scholarship

Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University) established by the M/o. HRD, Government of India for propagation and promotion of Sanskrit invites applications in the prescribed form for award of Merit Scholarship to:

i) Regular students studying Sanskrit including Pali and Prakrit in any recognized traditional Pathshalas/ modern institutions/ Secondary/ Higher Secondary Schools from 9th to 12th standard.
ii) Regular students pursuing higher course of studies in Sanskrit in recognized educational Institutions at the levels of Shastri/ Graduation. Acharya/ Post Graduation, Vidyavaridhi/ Ph. D Scholarship details, eligibility criteria and conditions for the Scholarships are given below:

1. 9th and 10th classes/ Purva-Madhyama or equivalent courses with Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit as a paper of at least 100 marks
Eligibility: Must have passed the previous examination of the respective class with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the aggregate and also in the concerned subject i.e. in Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit.
Scholarship Amount: Rs.250/- P.M.

2. 11th & 12th Classes/ Prak-Shastri/ Uttar-Madhyama and equivalent courses with Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit as a paper of at least 100 marks
Eligibility: Must have passed the previous examination of the respective class with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent in the aggregate and also in the concerned subject i.e. in Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit.
Scholarship Amount: Rs.300/- P.M.

3. Shastri/ Graduation/ BA/ BA (Hons) and equivalent course of three years duration with Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit as a paper of at least 100 marks.
Eligibility: Must have passed Plus 2 level examination with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent in the aggregate and also in the concerned subject i.e. in Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit.
Scholarship Amount: Rs.400/- P.M.

4. Acharya degree in Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit and its equivalent Post-Graduation Degree
Eligibility: Must have passed Graduation with at least 60% marks in the aggregate in Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit
Scholarship Amount: Rs.500/- P.M.

5. Vidyavaridhi/ Ph. D and equivalent in Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit
Eligibility: Must have passed Acharya or MA in Sanskrit/ Pali/ Prakrit with at least 60% marks in the aggregate.
Scholarship Amount: Rs.1500/- P.M.**

** The student of Vidyavaridhi/ Ph. D and equivalent courses shall be also entitled for a contingency grant of Rs.2000/- per annum for two years.

Number of Scholarship: Number of Scholarships to be awarded each year/class depends on the availability of funds.

Reservation: 15% of the total Scholarship will be reserved for SC, 7.5% for ST students.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science, and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.

The advertisement for the KVPY Fellowship appears in all the national dailies normally on the Technology Day (May 11) and the Second Sunday of July every year.

Selection of the students is made from those studying in XI standard to 1st year of any undergraduate Program in Basic Sciences namely B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology having aptitude for scientific research. Special groups / Committees are set up at IISc to screen the applications and conduct an aptitude test at various centres in the country. Based on the performance in the aptitude test, short-listed students are called for an interview which is the final stage of the selection procedure. For receiving a fellowship, both aptitude test and interview marks are considered.

Generous fellowships are provided up to the pre-Ph.D. level to the selected KVPY Fellows.
