Raksha Bandhan Celebration at DAV Public School, DVC, MTPS

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with immense enthusiasm by the students of DAV Public School, DVC, MTPS. Under the able leadership of Principal Mr. Sanjay Majumdar, the event beautifully captured the essence of love, protection, and brotherhood. Guided by Art teacher Mr. Premdip Maity, students crafted vibrant and imaginative rakhis, which were later tied to dignitaries of DVC as a gesture of respect and goodwill.

The celebration was graced by Sri P. P. Sah, CGM & Head of Project, whose presence added warmth to the occasion. Sri Rajeev Ranjan, Chairman, LMC & DGM (Mech), further inspired the teachers and commended the students’ creativity and spirit. Students from various classes actively participated, tying rakhis to officials and MTPS workers, symbolizing unity and gratitude.

DAV Public School, DVC MTPS successfully conducted a Capacity-Building Workshop on Life Skills (Advanced) aimed at enhancing the professional competencies of our educators.

The workshop was enriched by the insightful sessions of our esteemed resource persons:
• Madam Joyita Mukherjee, Head of the Department of Sociology and Political Science, Apeejay School, Salt Lake, Kolkata.
• Madam Susmita Choudhury, PGT History, Burdwan Model School, Katwa Road, Purba Bardhaman.

The sessions emphasized the relevance of advanced life skills in fostering holistic development, effective decision-making, and adaptive teaching strategies for 21st-century classrooms.

A one-day Capacity Building Programme on Fine Arts and Physical Education was successfully held on 19.05.25 at DAV Public School, DVC MTPS. The event brought together Fine Arts and Physical Education teachers from both clusters of the West Bengal Zone, fostering collaboration and professional growth.

The programme for Fine Arts teachers aimed to refine pedagogical skills, advance artistic techniques, and introduce innovative teaching methods. These efforts were geared toward empowering painting teachers to more effectively engage and inspire their students through creative expression. The sessions were led by renowned Mr. Muktinath Mondal, Asst. Professor, Department of Painting, Govt. College of Art & Craft, Calcutta.
Participants expressed great satisfaction with the content and delivery of the sessions. Many reported gaining new perspectives on art education and felt motivated to apply innovative techniques in their classrooms.

Simultaneously, the programme for Physical Education teachers focused on enhancing instructional strategies, promoting health and fitness, and incorporating modern techniques and value-based approaches into sports training and education. The sessions were led by renowned Dr. Rajeshree Kar, Assistant Professor, State Institute of Physical Education for Women, Hastings House, West Bengal.
Participants actively engaged in a Q&A session where they shared their experiences, challenges, and suggestions. The session was productive and highlighted the need for more regular training and collaborative learning among teachers.

The closing session was chaired by the resource persons, the host principal, and the coordinating principal. One participant each from the Fine Arts and Physical Education Capacity Building Programmes expressed their gratitude, followed by a vote of thanks acknowledging all speakers, participants, and organizing members.

Overall, the CBP was a resounding success and proved to be a valuable experience for all participants. It successfully met its objectives and contributed significantly to the professional development of art and physical education teachers.
Participants also expressed a strong desire for more such programmes in the future, possibly extended over multiple days.

DAV Public School DVC MTPS proudly hosted Summer Camp 2025: "Beat the Heat"—a vibrant celebration of creativity, learning, and fun from 10.05.25 to 17.05.25.

Campers honed their communication skills through Public Speaking and Recitation, expressed themselves through Music, Dance, Skits, and even stepped into leadership roles during a lively Mock Parliament. Each day was packed with enriching experiences!

They explored mindfulness through Yoga, sparked curiosity with hands-on Science Experiments, and sharpened their intellect with Quizzes, Chess, and the fascinating world of Maths Magic. A mix of Indoor and Outdoor Games kept the energy high and the excitement endless.

It was truly a summer to remember—a well-rounded journey that helped every child grow into a confident, curious, and kind young individual. Here's to nurturing bright minds and warm hearts!
