✨ Today was a day of learning and exchange!
Teachers from Lakshmi Murmu Smriti Shishu Vidyalaya visited Rolf Schoembs Vidyashram for an exposure visit focused on child-centric pedagogic techniques. 🌱📚

The interaction created a meaningful space to share ideas, observe practices, and reflect on how classrooms can be made more engaging and nurturing for children. A small step towards strengthening education through collaboration and collective growth. 🤝✨

Thank you Boro Baski and all other teaching and support staff of Rolf Schoembs Vidyashram.
A huge thank you to the staff of Museum of Santal Culture, Bishnubati (https://museumofsantalculture.wordpress.com/) for showing us their exquisite collection of Santal Cultural Artifacts
Thank you to Ghosaldanga Bishnubati Adibasi Trust for the warm welcome that we received at your Village.

TAKE THE SCHOOL HOME: A fundraiser for our School

Take the School Home is about reaching out to the last mile rural children who are missing out on basic school education due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
We need to financially support teachers who are travelling to the last mile to reach-out and educate children at their homes. Reba Murmu a Santhali community leader who alongside six teachers teachers of Lakshmi Murmu Smriti Sishu Vidyalaya; a community run school in Chaachanpur Village of Bankura district of West Bengal are reaching out to students within their administrative block to ensure that the students do not drop out of the school or do not fall out of practice. Often the teachers travel over twenty to thirty kilometres to reach out to the last mile villages of Chhatna Block of Bankura district to ensure that students from dalit and adivasi families are not left out. The school currently has
100 students registered across six standards from LKG to class 4.
We wish to run the programme of reaching out to the students and teaching for a year or until the school can be reopened. We currently plan to work with six teachers. Once the school reopens we shall ensure that teachers motivate the students and the parents to come back to the school.

Fund Utilization Plan:

1. Monthly honorarium of 4000 rupees for each teacher (4000 INR x 6 teachers=24000 INR X 12
months= 2,88,000 INR)
2. Text Books and stationeries worth INR 50,000
3. Nutritional supplements for students worth INR 1,62,000

Existing Capacity and Credibility of the Organization:

We have a team of six motivated teachers who are ready to work for the goal of making education accessible for children from marginalized families of the region. Reba Murmu's crediblity in the region as a leader and educator is unparalleled.
