🇮🇳 Remembering Khudiram Bose | 11 August

Some lives are measured in years.
Some are measured in courage, sacrifice, and the impact they leave behind.

On 11 August, Saraswati Devi International School solemnly remembers Khudiram Bose, one of the youngest revolutionaries of India’s freedom movement, whose fearless spirit became a symbol of youthful patriotism and sacrifice. 🇮🇳

At just 18 years of age, he embraced the ultimate sacrifice for the dream of a free India. His story reminds us that age is never a measure of courage, and youth can carry the strength to inspire generations.

Today, we remember not only a martyr, but the indomitable spirit of a young Indian who dared to stand for his nation.

Today, we celebrate the hands that weave India’s stories, traditions and timeless beauty. ❤️

National Handloom Day honours India’s handloom weaving community and their contribution to our cultural heritage and socio-economic development. 7 August was chosen to commemorate the Swadeshi Movement of 1905 which encouraged indigenous products and production.

This National Handloom Day, let’s celebrate our weavers, especially the women who keep India’s rich textile traditions alive and support authentic Indian handloom. 🪡🇮🇳
