Our Grade 6 student, Dhruva, asked Matthew Sinclair a powerful question about recognising pressure on the field. His answer was simple yet unforgettable: control what you can control, trust your preparation, and stay present in the moment. A mindset that reaches far beyond cricket.

Sometimes, the biggest lessons don’t come from a classroom—they come from asking the right question.

Our Grade 6 student, Dhruva, asked International cricket legend Matthew Sinclair a question many children (and even adults) quietly carry: “How do you deal with fear before stepping out to perform?” The answer was a beautiful reminder that courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s learning how to breathe through it, trust your process, and focus on the next ball.

A conversation that began with curiosity became a lesson in confidence, resilience, and mindset.

What looks like a tray of seeds becomes a little investigation in the hands of curious children.

They explored different seeds—observing their colours, shapes, sizes and textures, and wondering what makes each one different.

A simple setup opened up conversations about where our food comes from and how tiny seeds become part of the plants we see around us.

Because sometimes, learning begins with nothing more than a seed, a question, and a pair of curious eyes.

Bhajan Bopanna’s words resonated deeply with the heart of IYRA — raising children who are curious, aware, and free to discover who they are.

We never knew there was so much happiness in planting until Amritavana happened.

The joy, the curiosity, the happiness in
Will my plant grow? When will I see a new leaf? Will it become taller than me? — has brought back a beautiful curiosity about life at IYRA.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia thought of the environment as the third teacher, IYRA is creating spaces where children are truly bringing life to education — and that is what we call a HAPPY CURRICULUM.

Have you ever seen a child so happy to get covered in mud?

Today, we did. There were hands deep in the soil, faces full of excitement, plants being held with care, and that beautiful impatience to see what would happen next.

Perhaps this is what learning looks like when the environment becomes a teacher too. Not something we explain children, but allow them to experience.

At IYRA, we want children to grow with nature, not just learn about it — because when a child learns to care for a plant, they are quietly learning to care for the world around them.

Watching our EY2 learners carefully pick vegetables, count their little purchases, and chat like real shoppers was pure joy. Behind every smile was a new discovery about food, nature, and the journey from farm to our plates.

Its launch became truly meaningful with the presence of Bajan Bopanna, who planted the first sapling and helped mark the beginning of this shared vision.

At the heart of Amritavana is the vision of Founder Sir and Director Ma’am — to create spaces that shape not just what children learn, but how they connect with the world around them.
