On June 17th, 2026, the Division of Yoga-Spirituality marked a brilliant milestone by organizing a novel Shastrartha (scholarly debate) centered on the timeless Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
Our students didn't just read the texts; they dove deep into classical wisdom, anchoring their rigorous debates and insights in the profound commentaries of Vyasa Bhasya and Bhoja Vritti.
It was deeply inspiring to see the enthusiastic participation and brilliant presentations from our academic community across all levels:
🎓 B.Sc. Students
🎓 M.Sc. (YT / YVW) Students
🎓 M.A. (Yoga Darshana) Students
🎓 M.D. (Naturopathy) Students
🎓 Ph.D. Researchers
The energy in the room proved that ancient philosophical traditions are vibrant, alive, and thriving in the hearts of our next generation of scholars.

Don’t Let Your Senses Drive Your Life!
Full Video Link = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JonATuHFhoc
Have you ever noticed how your mind plays tricks on you? For example, the doctor says "No sweets" because of diabetes, but the moment you see a gulab jamun at a wedding, your mind says, "Arre, one piece won't hurt!" or "If I don't eat, how will the doctors survive?"
Lord Krishna warns us about this in the Bhagavad Gita. Our Indriyas (senses) are so powerful that they can drag away even a very wise person's mind. To become a "Perfect Human Being," we need to use our Buddhi (intellect) to keep these senses in check.
True mastery isn't just about knowing what is right; it’s about bringing that discipline into our action every single day!
The Divine Shloka
Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2, Verse 60:
यततो ह्यपि कौन्तेय पुरुषस्य विपश्चित: |
इन्द्रियाणि प्रमाथीनि हरन्ति प्रसभं मन: ||
Transliteration:
yatato hyapi kaunteya puruṣasya vipaścitaḥ |
indriyāṇi pramāthīni haranti prasabhaṁ manaḥ ||
Meaning:
The turbulent senses, O son of Kunti, forcibly carry away the mind of even a wise man who is striving to control them.
