To enhance the technical capabilities of students and prepare them for the evolving digital landscape, Dayananda Sagar Evening College of Arts and Commerce successfully conducted Add-On Course classes on Python, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning for BCA students.

This initiative was designed to provide students with practical exposure to emerging technologies, enabling them to build a strong foundation in programming, data-driven problem solving, and intelligent systems. Through these sessions, students gained valuable insights into the fundamentals of Python programming and the applications of AI and ML in today’s technology-driven world.

Such add-on courses play a vital role in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, equipping students with the skills needed to excel in their future careers.

The Governing Council Meeting of Dayananda Sagar Evening College of Arts and Commerce was successfully held on 9th March 2026.

The meeting was honoured by the presence of Ravindra Pai, Syndicate Member and Nominee of Bangalore University, and Joint Managing Trustee, Vidyashilp Education Group, whose valuable insights and guidance contributed meaningfully to the discussions.

The council reviewed key academic and administrative matters, including:

• Review of previous meeting proceedings

• Admissions strategy for B.Com and BCA programs for the upcoming academic year

• Library development through the purchase of new academic resources

• Introduction of Add-On Programs such as CA/CS/CMA–USA/ACCA pathways, along with Python with AI & ML for BCA students

• Strategies for improving academic results

• Plans to strengthen student admissions and institutional growth
