Do you know you need only about 12 megapixels quality image to print on 16x24 inch paper with 300 dpi? And how often we print?
Higher megapixel does not necessarily mean better picture. Its just that when picture is blown up, the minute details in the picture will be preserved... So unless you plan to print these pictures on really large paper, don't make "megapixel" as a deciding criteria while buying a camera...

For many, DSLR photography is a rocket science. But it's not. Even this we have conquered now that Mangalyan is in Mars orbit....
