Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru, with the support of the Alumni Association of Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy, Bangalore successfully organized an Alumni Meet "Alumni Reconnect -2026" on 15th August 2026.

The meet provided a memorable platform for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater, reunite with former classmates, meet their teachers and staff, and relive the golden moments of their college days. The alumni also interacted with the present students, offering valuable guidance and sharing meaningful insights on career pathways, professional opportunities and future growth. This interaction helped strengthen the bond between alumni and current students, paving the way for continued mentorship and support.

One of the major highlights of the event was the vibrant cultural programme presented by both alumni and current students. I am delighted to share that our talented students have brought laurels to our college by securing TWO FIRST PRIZES at “ANVESHANA – 2026”, an Inter-Collegiate Cultural Competition organized by Ikon Pharmacy College, Bidadi, on 18th August 2026

As part of the academic curriculum, the 3rd-year B.Pharm students of Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy, Bangalore, undertook an Industrial visit to Woundcare Pvt. Ltd., Doddaballapur, on 12th and 13th August 2026.

Fibroheal Woundcare Pvt. Ltd. is a research- and technology-driven biotechnology and healthcare company specializing in the innovative use of silk proteins as biomaterials for advanced wound care and wound healing. The company is among the few organizations globally exploring the non-textile biomedical applications of silk proteins. Through its indigenously developed and IP-protected technologies, Fibroheal develops innovative, effective and affordable solutions for the management of acute, chronic, non-healing, slow-healing and difficult-to-heal wounds. Its expertise integrates biomaterials science, pharmaceutical technology and biomedical engineering to develop next-generation wound care products.

The company has a dedicated in-house R&D facility and manufactures its range of wound care products in a state-of-the-art ISO 13485 and GMP-certified facility. With several flagship products, Fibroheal aims to provide comprehensive solutions across the entire wound-care continuum while meeting international standards and expanding its presence globally.

During the industrial visit, the students gained valuable first-hand exposure to the practical applications of pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences in an industrial setting. They had the opportunity to understand the application of silk proteins in wound healing, product development, manufacturing processes, quality systems, research and development and the translation of innovative biomaterial-based technologies into healthcare products. The visit effectively bridged the gap between classroom learning and industrial practice, while providing students with insights into innovation, entrepreneurship, research, regulatory compliance, and emerging career opportunities in the pharmaceutical and biomedical sectors.

The visit proved to be an enriching academic experience, inspiring the students to appreciate the importance of research, innovation, indigenous technology, and interdisciplinary approaches in developing affordable healthcare solutions for society.

Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy, Bengaluru a constituent of Al-Ameen Educational Society, Bengaluru celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great Enthusiasm, Patriotic spirit and a strong sense of National pride. The celebration brought together the Management, heads of institutions, faculty members, staff and students from various Al-Ameen institutions.

Major General S. M. Ahmed graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Mr. Zubair Anwar Sait, Honorary Secretary, attended as the Guest of Honour. The programme was presided over by Mr. Umar Ismail Khan, Chairman of the Al-Ameen Educational Society. EC Members of the Society were also present on the occasion. The celebration commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag with National Anthem, creating an atmosphere filled with patriotism and national pride.

On this occasion, the Management felicitated ten meritorious students who had secured university gold medals and top ranks. Each student was presented with a cash award of ₹10,000 in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements. Their proud parents were also honoured for their invaluable encouragement and support, making the felicitation a memorable and inspiring highlight of the celebration.

The celebration was marked by vibrant patriotic cultural presentations by students of Al-Ameen Group of Institutions, that reflected India’s rich cultural diversity and the spirit of unity in diversity. The programme concluded with a renewed collective pledge to uphold the dignity, harmony and democratic values of the nation and to work together towards a stronger, progressive and inclusive India.

The Department of Pharmacy Practice, in association with the IQAC, NSS Unit, and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy, Bangalore organized a community awareness programme on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week at the Wilson Garden Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) and the nearby HRA area on 7th August 2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among the public about the importance of breastfeeding and its vital role in promoting the health, nutrition, immunity, and overall well-being of both mothers and infants.

As part of the programme, the students performed an informative mime at Wilson Garden UPHC, highlighting the nutritional and health benefits of breastfeeding, appropriate breastfeeding practices, protection against infections, and its importance in the healthy growth and development of infants. The students also interacted with patients, attendants, and visitors and explained the significance of breastfeeding. The awareness activity was further extended to the nearby HRA community, where the mime was performed for local residents and educational pamphlets were distributed along with brief counselling on the benefits of breastfeeding.

The programme received an encouraging response from the public and provided the students with a valuable opportunity to actively participate in community health education and strengthen their communication skills. Through an engaging and easily understandable approach, the initiative successfully reinforced the importance of breastfeeding and encouraged the community to support, protect, and promote healthy breastfeeding practices for the well-being of mothers and children.

As part of Pharma Industry visit, our B.Pharm (Final) Year students visited to Juggat Pharma (A Division of Jagdale Industries Pvt. Ltd) on 7th Aug- 2026.

Jagdale Industries Pvt Ltd (JIPL) is a part of the well-established and one-of-the-oldest industrial family group of Bengaluru: ‘The Jagdale family’.

The visit provided students with valuable practical exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality practices, bridging the gap between academics and industry.

 During the Industry Visit, Students Learned :
✅ Raw material inspection, segregation & storage procedures
✅ Production of dosage forms – parenterals, syrups, and tablets
✅ Quality Control (QC) laboratories & modern testing equipment
✅ Packaging, labeling & storage of finished products
✅ GMP compliance, aseptic production, and regulatory practices
✅ WFI (Water for Injection) facility, showcasing purification, distillation, and distribution systems essential for parenteral production
✅ Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) operations, ensuring safe waste management and environmental compliance.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the management of Juggat Pharma Pvt.
