Live Webinar: Machine Learning-Based 3D Classification Models for Drug Discovery

The ability to classify complex three-dimensional structures has become a cornerstone of modern Artificial Intelligence. From drug discovery and structural biology to 3D machine learning models are transforming how we analyse and interpret spatial data.

Whether you are a student, researcher, data scientist, computational biologist or AI enthusiast, this webinar will provide practical insights into one of the fastest-growing areas of machine learning.

Understanding how phase fractions evolve with temperature is one of the most practical ways to turn thermodynamics into engineering decisions. CompuTherm’s “Phase Fraction as a Function of Temperature” example is a clear demonstration of how Pandat’s PanPhaseDiagram module can be used to track phase evolution in an Al–Mg system, identify liquidus and eutectic temperatures, and quantify how phase fractions change across a thermal cycle.

For alloy development, casting, and heat-treatment planning, this kind of analysis is invaluable. It helps engineers predict when critical phases form, how microstructure will evolve during cooling, and where process windows can be tightened for better consistency and performance.

We like this example because it shows the value of CALPHAD in a very tangible way: not just “what phases exist”, but “how much of each phase is present at each temperature”. That is exactly the kind of insight that supports better process design and fewer trial-and-error experiments.
