Photosynthesis Simple Explanation
Follow Zen-Z Education
Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants, algae, and some bacteria use sunlight to make their own food (glucose) from carbon dioxide and water. During this process, oxygen is released into the atmosphere.
Simple Explanation:-
Imagine a plant as a tiny food factory:
🌞 Sunlight provides the energy.
🌿 Leaves absorb carbon dioxide (CO₂) from the air.
💧 Roots absorb water (H₂O) from the soil.
🍃 Chlorophyll (the green pigment in leaves) captures sunlight.
🍬 The plant produces glucose (food) for growth and energy.
🌬️ Oxygen (O₂) is released as a by-product.
Why is Photosynthesis Important?
Produces oxygen needed by humans and animals.
Provides food for plants, forming the base of almost all food chains.
Removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, helping regulate Earth's climate.
Easy Formula
Carbon Dioxide + Water + Sunlight → Glucose + Oxygen
Remember This
Plants use sunlight to make food and give us oxygen. 🌱☀️
