COPER is an independent, free-standing, registered facility, supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and is associated with the National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS), Bangalore. To integrate psychology into mainstream cancer care, COPER is working in tandem with several cancer hospitals in the country for its research and training activities. COPER

is born out of the conviction and the concern of people of eminence from various walks of life: Corporate leaders, scientists, oncologists, mental health professionals, doctors, psychooncologists and good Samaritans, creating a perfect matrix of people, knowledge, brilliance, experience , technology and infrastructure… All culminating in a one point vision and mission: deliver psychosocial care to patients and their families through qualified clinical psychooncologists.
