The Oxford Senior Secondary School

The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) organized an 3Day enriching workshop focused on hands-on learning in three innovative areas: Arduino, 3D Printing, and Google Teachable Machine.
The workshop aimed to introduce participants to emerging technologies and equip them with practical skills that could be integrated into their teaching practices and projects.Teachers were introduced to the Arduino sensors,Principles of 3D printer,process of creating 3D model using Tinker cad as software and Google Teachable Machine which can be used as an educational tool to make learning more interactive and engaging.
By the end of the session, Teachers gained hands-on experience in creating, training, and deploying new technologies in school.

A hands-on training session on breadboard - series and parallel connection was conducted in our Atal Tinkering lab for students of grade 6-9 on 8 th September 2023.
Children had a wonderful learning experience.

A Tech session on basic circuits, Arduino and programming was conducted by the Mentor from EnPower on 18th July for the students of Class 6- 9 in the Atal Tinkering lab.
The session was very informative and engaging as students had a hands on experience with Tinkercad’s virtual prototyping environment along with exposure to various sensors and their potential applications in real life.

Students of grade 7-9 attended a training session on 'Design Thinking' in the Atal Tinkering lab in our school on 26 th June 2023. It was conducted by Mr Suresh Sastry from the ENpower team, associated with Atal innovation mission.
Design Thinking is a customer-centric development process that creates desirable products that are profitable and sustainable over their lifecycle.
It was an interactive and engaging session where students learnt about different phases of design thinking. They understood the importance of empathy, ideation and stages of prototyping and testing taking an example of coffee cup.

Our students Anubhav and Nithin S of grade 9 along with the ATL coordinators attended an Atal tinkering training session on 15th June 2023. It was conducted by EnPower at Smt. Kamala Bai Educational Institution, Queens road, Bengaluru.
During the session, the students and teachers learnt about design thinking, ideation, different sensors and their mechanism, programing- coding, Physical models and introduction to Robotics.
Session was interesting and informative and a wonderful learning experience for all.

We are extremely proud to share the news that a team of our students of class 10- Kunal D Nayak, Srivatsa Pervodi and Nandakishore and their ATL marathon 2021 project titled-
'Flood Be Gone' was selected as one of the top 350 winners of the ATL Marathon2021-22

Their project is about harnessing the power of the stagnant flood water and using it to make electricity.By the means of this project they intend to remove a reasonable amount of flood water , to make conditions better and also to generate electricity which will be able to kickstart the process of getting that village or town back in shape.
Kudos to our students for their wonderful idea! Wishing them the best in the next levels and an opportunity to put their idea into reality!

We are extremely proud to share that- our students- Hemanth D and M G Srivatsa from Class 12 received the third place in Poster presentation on the topic- Life in Multiplanetary Society - in Human Space Flight Expo 2022 conducted by ISRO.

We are extremely happy to share that two of our students- Dyuti S and Varsh*tha Talangade of Class 9, have qualifies as one of the Top 400 teams in India's Future Tycoon ( IFT) - Season 4.
They have come up with an innovative Social Tech Venture in the field of education.
We wish our students all the best and great success for their next round in the competition.

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on 5 June and is the United Nations' principal vehicle for encouraging awareness and action for the protection of the environment.

The theme of World Environment Day 2022 is Only One Earth, focusing on "Living Sustainably in Harmony with Nature".

Here we have two of our students of Class 9 - Varsh*ta and Dyuti speaking about various environmental issues that is plaguing our planet.
This day is not just a celebration but also a reminder to all of us to be responsible and take best care of our mother earth!

Social inclusion is the process of improving the terms on which individuals and groups take part in society—improving the ability, opportunity, and dignity of those disadvantaged on the basis of their identity.
An interactive and very informative session on ' Social Inclusion' was conducted on 9 th March by ATL mentor Rini Channakeshava in our ATL lab.
It was a wonderful awareness session for our young buds who understood the importance of social inclusion in coming up with ideas for projects in ATL.

Students from class 6-9 participated in this mentor session.
Students thoroughly enjoyed themselves , right from the warm up activity to expressing their ideas and understanding about various steps of the ideation process.
